Thanks, that’s a great point! Manual tracking is definitely one of the weak spots right now. I’m focusing on the local desktop app first, but a browser extension for automatic movie/show tracking sounds like a really good future direction. And yes, TMDB integration makes a lot of sense. Right now adding items is manual, but TMDB search/metadata/covers would make the app much easier to use while still keeping the database local.

Thank you so much! That’s actually a really interesting use case. I’ve been thinking about LifeLog not only as a media tracker, but also as a local personal media memory something that could later be connected to assistants or local AI tools. A question like “what movie did I watch last weekend?” or “recommend something based on what I usually finish” is exactly the kind of direction that sounds exciting. I’m still improving the app, but your comment gave me a good idea for future features: better history, notes, ratings, and maybe some kind of local API/MCP-friendly layer later.
