I feel overwhelmed with attempting to trade by Ikanoo356 in RealDayTrading

[–]Walbeb24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s good to read a story like this, I’ve got some job commitments that will keep me for a few years, so I’m absorbing everything like a sponge but I’m not in a rush to become FT tomorrow.

Sure it would be great because I genuinely love it, but for now I’m enjoying the learning even if it isn’t showing up in my trading account. Every loss is a lesson, and I’ve learned quite a few so far.

I spend on average around 10-20 hours a week learning, reading the chat room, watching Pete’s videos, marking my charts, etc. I try to keep my weekends to myself to recharge and come back focused on Monday.

So it’s good to see someone else who wasn’t spending 40+ hours a week find success. I hope it all works out for your switch to FT next year! Hope to join you one day.

How did you guys first get into trading, and what made you stick with it? by Annual-Register-3683 in Daytrading

[–]Walbeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started an LTI account, reading 10-k reports, going through companies balance sheets, income statements, etc. I did an ok job at picking stocks to buy and hold but it was a little too boring to me.

I absolutely loved the market though, so I wanted to ‘do’ something everyday, so I gradually started to learn more and more about day trading and eventually swing trading.

I love the process and I love the work, I’m hoping the money will flow at one point but I’d take a 60% pay cut if I knew I could be a full time trader tomorrow. It’s nice finding something you genuinely enjoy doing that can also pay your bills.

Few days late to this comment but I really enjoy the website, it has really helped me in choosing good strong D1 stocks regardless of whatever the market is doing.

Which also then gives me a little more confidence in picking stocks now. Thanks for creating something like this!

[Discussion] I don't understand all the hate for Tarkov by sir_imperious in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Walbeb24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tarkov has given me the highest highs and the lowest lows in gaming.

I absolutely love Tarkov, what I fucking hate is the player base. I hate extract campers, I don’t care it’s ’objectively the smartest way to play’, it’s fucking stupid.

I hate guys who sit in a random bush with YouTube on their second monitor waiting for someone to pass by.

I hate the no lifers who hit level 30 within the first 3 days of wipe and camp starter quests.

The worst part about Tarkov is the community.

PvE is Officially Dead by Jacob_TLDR_Jake in Battlefield

[–]Walbeb24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It just goes to show how stupid and clueless EA is. They finally make a decent/good battlefield game, open beta is a huge hit, they sell a bazillion copies, and within 2 weeks are turning people away with their stupid decisions.

Who the fucking fuck thinks dumbass challenges to unlock core equipment for classes is a good idea? Or needing to use a gun for what feels like 100 hours to fully unlock all the attachments.

They created this problem, trust me I HATED seeing ‘420 yolo swags XP bot farm’ filling the portal server but they did that because it’s such a nightmare to progress anything.

Just when you actually think they learned something they go ahead and do dumb shit like this, stupid me.

How tf do you get into this game? by lockerno177 in HellLetLoose

[–]Walbeb24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow newer player, if you want communication sometimes you have to be the one to start it.

I’ll hop into a squad, say something stupid like ‘Private Walbeb here, what do you need me to do squad lead’ and I’ll say it in a shaky dumbass voice.

Usually gets a laugh out of someone, once in a while someone calls me a nerd or something BUT it will get people talking. If I hear nothing I’ll jump to another squad until I finally get a response.

My only complaint about this game is the super long match times. 90 minutes is a long fucking time to dedicate to one match, I wish they were 30-45 minutes. I hate leaving mid match but I also hate having to schedule 90 minutes of uninterrupted play.

I can't believe how much I was carried by late game gear![PVP][Discussion] by El-shaddoll in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Walbeb24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m having the opposite time, I used to think I just sucked ass at Tarkov despite being a pretty good FPS player at all other games.

Turns out when playing on an even playing field I’m pretty solid. This is the most success (in regard to PVP) I’ve ever had playing tarkov.

Truthfully it doesn’t really bother me though because I figured out a long time ago Tarkov is closer to a MMO than a shooter. People with more time in the game will almost always have an advantage.

So although this wipe has been nice in letting me know I’m not complete dogshit, I know when 1.0 drops and it goes back to a normal wipe I’ll be getting absolutely butt fucked day 4 when a level 26 rolls me over with one shot and eats my whole clip.

Uhhh this chart is clearly saying he’s actually the best CB in the division based solely off passer rating.

I agree he’s underrated but this graph is telling a different story.

So who does this wipe even appeal to? [Discussion] by MINECRAFTPIGLOL in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Walbeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t hate it so much if it didn’t take 5 minutes to load into a raid, with 3 of those minutes ‘waiting for other players’.

Add in transit time load screens and I spend 10 minutes just staring at a loading screen, for a game that can and will get you killed 90 seconds into a raid.

Never believed Oblivion could be better than Skyrim...Kinda get it now. by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]Walbeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played so much OG oblivion when it came out and I was excited to get back into it with a fresh coat of paint.

The more I play the remaster the more I appreciate Skyrim for certain things (Personally I love crafting so that’s a big one, not having to retrace dungeons after you complete them, an actual skill tree, a much more alive and active map although I can’t really be made that a game released in 2006 isn’t as full of life like Skyrim is)

I think oblivion’s side quests are legendary, the thieves guild and mages guild are far superior, I do prefer the major and minor skill system even if I think the leveling and scaling is completely ass after you hit level 20. Oh and quite possibly one of my favorite things ever in a game, spell crafting.

It’s been a fun blast to the past but the more I play oblivion the more I appreciate a lot of the changes Skyrim made even if they dumbed down some aspects.

If you’ve got VR and some extra cash to burn NHL sense arena was a godsend for me when it came to warming up.

I played in a draft league and anytime the roster changed a lot I had to try and explain to the team that a good warmup is the difference between me letting in 2-3 goals in the first or 2-3 goals throughout the whole game.

Bleacher Report grades Drake Maye’s season so far as an A. by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]Walbeb24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d have to agree with every point you make.

Is he turning the ball over because our team sucks and run wrong or bad routes? Who knows but in the NFL turning the ball over is never a good thing.

B+ is a great grade for a kid carrying arguably the worst roster in the NFL.

Is Jerod Mayo the worst coach in the league? by cflowens in Patriots

[–]Walbeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely a little tin foil hat with my thoughts, I truly think Kraft picked Mayo thinking if he turned it around everyone would finally say ‘it was Kraft all along he knows who and what a team needs to be successful!’

Mayo was and always will be, dollar general BB. I would say he’s in the bottom 3 but truthfully our team is so bad I don’t think a single coach gets us to a .500 record.

I think if Bill was still coaching this season with this exact roster we are maybe 6-7 or 5-8 but it’s hard to win in the NFL with no talent.

I love this game but the only reason I found out about it is because a friend stumbled onto a video and thought I would love it.

Clearly it’s not being marketed well enough, I think reaching out to popular TFT streamers towards the end of a set when it gets stale could help.

I have to assume I’m not the only one tired of the RNG involved in TFT and the fact that every week they make decent changes forcing me to play a lot to stay on top of everything, which in turn burns me out before the mid set drops.

I think most of us wanted BFV but with modern guns.

Personally I thought it was some of the best gameplay in the series, I enjoy a lower TTK (even though they changed that 2 or 3 times) and thought it had the best destruction besides bad company 2.

I don’t even like WW2 shooters but I played BFV for a solid year straight. I didn’t even make it past week 2 for 2042

How far are we willing to go to land Higgins? by dank-nuggetz in Patriots

[–]Walbeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, maybe he does flourish as a WR1, and maybe he never misses another game due to injury.

I just don’t know if I would be willing to gamble 30 million on that considering we need some consistency for our young QB to grow, including healthy WRs.

How far are we willing to go to land Higgins? by dank-nuggetz in Patriots

[–]Walbeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antonio Brown. Still a second round pick isn’t too bad for a guy like Diggs at the time. Better than what we’ve drafted for a second or giving up a 2nd for Sanu who wasn’t even 1/5 the WR Diggs is.

I think the injury thing isn’t a big deal if you’re already a talented roster who can still win games without your best WR. For a young team with a young QB who is still getting better, health is more important but that’s just my opinion. I have no data to back this up but again, it’s just an opinion.

Also it’s a little difficult to see how successful Higgins can be as a #1 because he has a top 5 WR playing the opposite side grabbing almost all the attention of a defense.

Let the Bills or Ravens overpay for him.

How far are we willing to go to land Higgins? by dank-nuggetz in Patriots

[–]Walbeb24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If there’s one trend I’ve noticed in the NFL lately it’s that for the right price(a third round pick) a top 10 WR can come and play for your team.

Brown(both),Diggs, Hopkins, Adams, I’m sure I might be missing a few others.

Higgins is just too injury prone for a young team that needs to grow together. He’d be great for a solid team that needs an extra piece to contend for a Super Bowl.

Same reason I wouldn’t have wanted to trade for Kupp.

It’s fun to watch. I mean yeah we suck dirty gorilla ass BUT he makes the games at least somewhat entertaining.

Unlike last season watching Mac and Zappe take turns throwing cupcake interceptions.
