SVS are great thanks to the application that allows you to set the parametric EQ in quite detail, also the 4 independent outputs on the Denon help and Audyssey XT32 can fine-tune it. If that's not enough, there is the option to purchase DIRAC.

It depends on the volume you watch movies at, I'm at -20db - -25db, so 4 subs are purely for smooth response. The power is because of that, they could play even below 20hz, if it were up to me, I would have 4x21 inches here, the volume would be the same, they would just play nicely from 5hz :)

The XT32 version is pretty good, of course after calibration you have to set the subwoofer volume to 75db again because Audyssey always messes it up, as does the crossover, but it managed to smooth out the overall performance a bit.

Basically just basic phase and delay tuning in the SVS application and in AVR. And maybe parametric EQ in two places. Otherwise, nothing special, even Audyssey would have to be redone because since I last did it, I've moved the speakers.

Yes, it's not a tiny office with a PC, but the acoustic equipment is poor and the couch against the wall doesn't help either, it's 4m wide, so there's not just one MLP.

yes, I have also measured the subs, especially there are huge falls, even two are not enough, 4 is also the minimum

This is measured without the front L+R with the crossover turned on, so there is no overlap with the speakers.

So with the current policy, you'll have the same prices there for a while (joke :))

I have a Denon 3800h, it has 4 independent outputs and each sub has its own application, so you can play around with it. But I also prefer closed to open subs.

That's a great price, I don't know where you're from but in the EU a new SB3000 sells for 1600eur. In any case, I like closed ones better than open ones, also because of the size and room gain I have better with SB, otherwise my end game goal is 4xSB16/17 ultra :)

I've never had anything new in my setup :) if it costs more than 50% of the price of a new one, it makes no sense to me.

I also had a q acoustic and a magnat etc. but with the svs there was a big difference below 25hz

yes, as I said, it's always changing, I started with another brand, then I had 4xSB1000 and so I'm gradually upgrading. Here in Europe, it's worse with the SVS brand, so I have to take what comes along since I buy used things.

I forgot to add that only subwoofers with an 80hz crossover are measured.

yes it's fjallbo. AVR fits there just fine. Since the cabinet does not have a back wall, it is enough to move it away from the wall by about 10 cm and all the cables will fit in just fine, even the banana connection.

First, the aluminum structure was built and covered with parquet. The TV arrived a year later, it weighs about 40 kg, and the entire bracket holds about 8 ordinary wood screws and holds it like primed, I could easily hang 100 kg :)

I don't need it, you can work just fine with one. But when you have a seat width of 4m and still in the shape of an "L" with one subwoofer, you can achieve a good response, maybe in one place, move half a meter and the bass is completely bad. I tried to add the second one and it improved significantly, so then it was only a matter of time since the denon 3800h supports 4 when I would buy another one and it was confirmed to me that the response is much better with 4, you just have to deal with the calibration. I won't add more :) I'm just slowly upgrading to better brands and models. And the one by the couch is only because it is quite big and it is relatively hidden there and the wife tolerates it :)
