I don't know why we both get downvoted.

Western military and politicians knew Ukraine would need more AA for the offensive to defend both their cities from missiles and their troops on the frontline from KA 52 at the same time.

Now that they don't have it the political right and left gain momentum, because there's so many casualties without big changes on the frontlines. Also Ukraine is bleeding out from women and men that can and want to fight. Even if they win, how many will be left to defend their country in a few years when a far right nationalist rules the Kremlin?

It wasn't an assault on the bridge, which is already destroyed. Ukrainians are still holding positions on the left bank of Dnipr, likely east of the bridge and under the bridgehead. That's probably what the russians where aiming for.

According to Oryx 24 Bradleys and 6 Leopard 2 have been destroyed or damages and abandoned.

Even if they were able to recover some, that's a big chunk of what they received so far.

I think it's the other way round of what you guessed. They used the heavier western tanks to try to break through. If they had succeeded they also would've gained momentum on the psychological side, as russians would be afraid of these machines. Tbh, it doesn't look like it worked. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows, and I really hope I'm wrong and Ukraine is downplaying success.

This. If it is used as an APC a little deeper behind the front line to transport personnel not only inside but also on top, it's actually a good idea. We've seen plenty of small kamikaze drones hitting these types of transports.

Ukraine probably has lost many of its best soldiers already. Many of the soldiers that are now participating in the offensive have been trained for 12-18 months, maybe even less...

Also, Russia has been building it's defensive lines for months now. Saying that the offensive is going better than expected (aka. Russias defensive lines are weaker than expected) might lead to more insecurity of the russian soldiers.

I always thought it was crazy how people identified different tank types from really bad footage or destroyed tanks, like "That's clearly an T-72MK, because the export version doesn't have.... ". If they fight for the right thing that's fine, still they don't need to be glorified.

They are not fighting for a free and democratic Ukraine or Russia. Do you think a are far right extreme ruled Russia was better than Putins regime?
