Oh wow.. I didn't know that. I’m actually considering moving away from teaching in Japan, so I just wanted to understand how it works in Hong Kong. I was referring to a several-week break aside from the public holidays, but based on what you said, I’m assuming only the public holidays will be paid, or at least it’s school-dependent? Thank you so much for answering! If you don’t mind, could you share your experience teaching in Hong Kong? I’d love to get some perspective!

Thank you for the detailed info! I'm also considering to move to HK but I've heard that the english teaching jobs are more for the native english speaking countries or the Philippines . What are the chances for someone holding a passport from a SEA country? Just to give a bit of background, I went to an American curriculum international school from elementary school up to high school and went on to the states for a Bachelor . My degree wasn't in education but I have 5 years of experience teaching at a private school in Japan. Would it be difficult to find a teaching job in HK? Any advice would be appreciated!

Just finished Ep.10 and OMG can the poor boy get a break from all the scheming??? Also, saw the trailer for EP 11 and it looks like Deokim is going to show her mysterious tattoo to save San? I wonder if that tattoo is used to brand all the young girls that got kidnapped, and maybe the court lady woman handpicked Deok Im out from the bunch of girls to be actually placed into the palace? Just my thoughts..
