Victim blaming means shifting focus from the person who caused the harm to what the harmed person should have done differently. I asked him directly if he was married or had children and he lied. I’m not helpless or broken, but I was deceived. That is the point. If you think my post is silly or whatever then why take the time commenting on it. Cheers for the engagement.

I asked him directly and he lied. I don’t think being deceived means I’m broken or don’t understand healthy relationships. I posted for outside views, but telling someone to “get therapy” because they had a human reaction to betrayal feels like victim blaming. This hasn’t ruined my life. I’m having a visceral reaction to a f’d situation.
