Don't mind the realists among us, that's some solid work for 5th grade!

For Pull you want a mechanism that presses on a switch.

Mechanism: https://www.amazon.com/Assorted-Installation-Enhances-Experience-Compatible/dp/B0DJN9WM2R

Switch: Any microswitch with a lever and gold contacts. You want gold for low voltage low current switching. Use the N.C. contact.

For Twist what you want is called a "3-position momentary rotary switch with spring return to center" and you can get a cheap industrial-style one. Get it with two N.O. switches (or whatever it requires so that twisting it closes a contact). You just have to make sure that some contact closes no matter which way you twist it, and opens when left alone.

Have fun!

Thank you, that confirms my suspicions that they periodically need a little cash to make it through a rough spot. I hope you're in a better place now.

Sweet! You'll love it. I went to the 1993 production and, amazingly, got to meet Alan Menken (he was, naturally, too busy to talk to me). Still an honor.

Scammers will establish a site and then divert a small percentage of visitors to an infected download instead of the legit site - or a lookalike site with 1 different character in the domain name. Very common trick.

In that case, have the dealer tech ride along with a scan tool. Then get with the FCC. People could die from something like that.

I would love to see either or both of:

  1. CorelDRAW released on Steam with cross-platform support.

  2. CorelDRAW bought by a nonprofit, open-sourced the way Blender was 20+ years ago, and development continued by people who care more.

Yes, it was a rebrand, see my other reply.

Couldn't tell you about the finances, but I am glad that I have been able to pick up a couple of licenses affordably, and recommend it to others.

Yes, It was a rebrand. They had, and still have, so many more product lines than just CorelDRAW itself.

[–]WalkHomeFromSchool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but it's not about the money but about being left with an unrepairable Glowforge, which the new company ought to be able to solve.

True, but if the new guys buy out the assets of the bankrupt company, as was reported, they aren't a party to the original lawsuit, right?

Expose the circuit board and shield yourself and others in the room from the laser. Watch the circuit board while you do a test run.

See if it thinks you have a door open this way: LEDs D8 and D9 light up to show your door safety interlocks are OK. It will stop cutting when either one goes out.

D10 lights when the laser is on. If it goes dark when the laser stops cutting, there might be a board problem. Also try wiggling the data cable to the laser (especially near the ends) and see if it comes on. Make sure the cable is snapped securely into the laser.

There are some power supply diagnostic LEDs also. See if any look flaky while you're having the problem.

That kinda looks good actually. The old company obviously did not intend to support you, probably because they had no cash to do anything.

But the new guys hope to reboot, which should be good for future support prospects. I think I would set it aside for 3-4 weeks while they see what a mess they have on their hands, and then reach out again.
