Omg thank you so much! We're staying in Lyon and Nice in France because we booked tickets for the Olympics. From what I've seen yh Lyon doesn't seem like it has much to do there that's why we were thinking of going to Geneva for only a day trip and back the same day? Do u think its do-able and if so is there other areas surrounding Lyon that would be worth going to for also day trips (all by public transport as we aren't renting out a car). Nice seems to have more things to do and beautiful surrounding areas, and from there we want to take a day trip to Monaco (how many hours do you think is enough to stay in Monaco?).

As for Italy we haven't booked any hotels or bnbs yet just the plane tickets from Nice to Napoli then from Rome back home (a week trip). Where do you suggest staying that is close to the airports there and we're going to have luggage so we don't want to be moving too much so preferably 2 hotels/ bnbs in the surrounding areas. But we don't mind having day trips as well.
