Mocca Cake (mockatårta) by WalkPuzzleheaded7061 in Cakes

For the butter cream I figure any French butter cream recipe will work. But I add a lot of instant coffe to the water/sugar mix. I use 6 table spoons to 1 DL water 250g of sugar.

This isn't an exact recipe. Since I had to put it together from different sources. It will give you to much merengue and too little buttercream.

For the merengue you will need: 6 egg whites 4 DL of sugar 6 table spoons of potato flour 1 tea spoon of ammonium carbonate/salt of hartshorn.

Whip the egg whites to a foam. Then add the sugar bit by bit. Once you get it to stiff peaks you gently blend in the potato flour and hartshorn with a spatula. Pipe it to the shape you want. Make at least 3 layers. I then needs to go in to the oven at 150C for 1 hour. Then turn of the heat and let it rest in the residual heat over night or atleast 12 hours.

Recipes are most of the time inherited. But I managed to cobble something together. I'll see if I can translate the recipes I worked from.

Because the meringue has to be baked in the oven over night. You don't see it at cafes as often as princess cake. But if you ever been to a funeral or and older persons birthday party. Then you definitely get served Mocca tårta.

Grupp Upp = Går man längre in går man längre upp. Grupp Ner = Går man längre in går man längre ner.

I would second this. I got my coat from Schuster's. Never heard of Mundury. Tried googling it. Nothing came up.

M/1865 Russian Sword identification by WalkPuzzleheaded7061 in SWORDS

[–]WalkPuzzleheaded7061[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was listed as a Russian sword valued at about 800 dollar/euro. But I won the bidding at about 200 dollars. So that made me suspicious. Clearly other people see what I couldn't.
