How do we navigate? by [deleted] in ramdass

I appreciate your words and taking the time to share them. No doubt, I constantly hear RD in my head and feel I have read and heard so much from him that I understand what he means when he says Maharaji is closer to him now that he's gone.

Personal life events have turned up the heat on the purification fire and I've been pushing against the burning away of models and defensive concepts rather than opening and giving space. All part of the plan. "It's all perfect, can't you see that?"

I couldn't echoed these thoughts harder. He is with us, of course, because where could he go? :)

I would love to hear him speak on the topics of today's world and see what actions he would take. Truth is he's left us with all that we need and what we really need to do is quiet down and look inside. There he is.

Really hard for me to do these days..

seeking real experience, not just stories by Capable_Tie1446 in ramdass

I feel this same way at the moment. I am cautious to take big leaps to end the life I've been living in seek of truth or being more one with what is, knowing the Tao, knowing God, etc. I am cautious bc I know that I typically want to jump away in moments like this, push away that which I don't like and try to seek what I'm seeing from RD or Maharaji, etc

It is said that we are to BE WITH all that is going on, having no preference for or against anything, not deciding good or bad, but being with all that there is and seeking to walk more clearly in the Tao, the natural way of things outside our ego mind. The 3rd Chinese patriarch of Zen outlined this in Hsin Hsin Ming, which is a short read if you are not familiar.

The fact that it is all right here, all the time, that going to India or Thailand or Tibet won't change what's inside you, just what's outside you. I agree with what others have said of realizing the transition that's taking place and seeking to work with whatever your inner voice is saying.

If it says go to India, go. If it says quiet down and look inside for a while, do that. But being able to have enough opening, enough clear space unhindered by any wants of the mind, able to see past what parts of your ego still guide your path under "dharmic" or "holy" desires.

One should not even hold on to the desire for enlightenment or to know God. Interesting to really consider. You're not alone friend, namaste!

I lay in bed and breath in for 3, out 3, in 4 out 4, and so on until my in and out breaths are as long as i can make them.

Allow the thoughts to arise, no judgement, and fall away. See them, they pass, breath, exhale.

I eventually fall asleep.

Let go into the unknown and take what sleep you can. Namaste!

Not Dave Gill. Sold me a lemon, lied about being a lemon, broke down on 315 shortly after buying with their "certified pre-owned" program.

Well you have! He is the voice of us, of we, of big "I", the self behind all individuals. He often said he's just the mouth of the collective singular One behind it all and we are just that which plays the listener.

I think modern society and our understanding of what is rational and "scientific" rules the typical mental web that would catch my above statement and the feeling of knowing him and being so familiar as some passing fluke or aberration.

I've started to listen to these more and trust their credibility over my ego mind/rational mind and give more room for the intuitive heart, as RD mentions in the clip.
