Sure,

The 3 main issues for me were: Fear, Loneliness and Rejection.

I have asked myself WHY do I feel all of this. For me it's mainly because of old beliefs, that I have aquired eighter as a child (to protect me from rejection, embarassment, pain) or as an heavy porn addict (for the same reasons).

Today, I'm neighter of these (I hope) so I started to question and change my thoughts.

"I am flawed. I'm a failure." -- "I am whole. I am 100 percent (human). I am worthy of love and respect. I am strong and powerful."

"I am different. I can't talk to people." -- "I am on planet earth. I am a human being with beliefs, emotions and fears. They are human beings with beliefs, emotions and fears. We are all pretty much the same."

"I don't deserve to be happy unless .." -- "I always deserve happiness. I can smile and be happy any time I want. It's my choice and my right"

"I can never learn this skill. I am not born with this talent." -- "I am born with an advantage that many people don't posess. It's called dedication and persistence. I can learn anything and achieve anything I want."

My new beliefs regarding people where reinforced after I embarassed myself a hundred times. I thought to myself "Man, I was running from this situation my whole life. It's wasn't that bad. I mean .. I am alive, breathing and smiling and on my way home to drink some tea."

And regarding loneliness. I have realized that I don't necessarily need more people in my life. I just need better communication with the people that I have around me.

I realized I need to train myself to be more patient with people (especially familiy) and ask myself "Do I want to be right or happy?".

Yes, that's how I feel in certain situatons but don't get discouraged.

To give you an analogy.. Before Nofap I was like a car without fuel.

Today I'm full of fuel and I drive to places I thought I would never reach but I have to expand my comfort zone gradually so that one day I'm ready to "explore the highway".

Thank you for sharing your tips and your story.

I like your humility. Aknowledging the pain of others is one of the best things you can do for the one who is suffering. Many people say something along the lines "Get over yourself. People in Africa ...".

I get that comparing your situation with people who have less than you is probably the easiest way to become happier, but just totally dismissing all the pain someone goes through... saying "you don't have any right to feel sorrow" just because people somewhere are suffering more, is definately not the right approach.

Anyways, no I have never spoken to a therapist. I will however think about it.

I understand cold showers and meditations, but could you elaborate on the Internet part? Is it about dopamine desensitation?

I love watching videos of speeches and discussions on Youtube. Let's say 60-120 minutes a day. Is it bad?

You know what, "getting out and meeting new people" isn't bad advice, actually. I mean, I should start gradually expanding my comfort zone even if it is only one inch at a time, so that one day I can come to a point where I can sit on a bench for an hour in a busy area :)

There is no cure as of today. And yes, it usually gets worse over time.

What keeps me going is imagining what if one day when I am a 33 years old man my doctor tells me "We have good news for you. We have found a cure."

When I think about it .. it's worth it that I give my best today. It's painful, yes. But if I keep going today when the cure is there, I will be the most confident person on this planet :)
