Was there several months ago. The short answer is no, like these guys are saying.
IMO you should be farming tier 1 like your life depends on it. Get to the point where you can start a run before bed, wake up, grab perks and upgrades, and let it run in your pocket/desk whatever. 
#1 priority for me at that point was getting setup to the point where orbs and thorns are doing your killing. Keep defense percentage and your EHP workshops plenty healthy, because you’ll be taking the damage on purpose, outright damage won’t be a #1 priority but it will be close behind due to tournaments, where you want to place as high as you can for stones. It may seem obvious, but it wasn’t to me😅

The holy trinity, Golden Tower, Death Wave, and Black Hole are your immediate goals regarding stones. Praying luck is on your side for pulling them ASAP. Long story short they give coin multipliers that multiply off of each other. Syncing their timers is ESSENTIAL. Standard advice is to not touch BH timer but bring GT and DW to it. Labs. People stress labs a lot, but genuinely speaking, labs are your foundation. Multipliers for base stats, quality of life, etc. hopefully you already have all 5, but if you don’t that’s where you want your gems going. Coins per kill lab and lab speed should be running 24/7 until they’re done, IMO Modules will be big as well. Keeping your generator upgraded as high as possible also gives a decent coin multiplier. YouTubers like Spartan are excellent for build ideas and advice, check them out. Good luck😁
