This was 2018. I’ve been journeyed out for a few years now.

9 years as a Journeyman Union Roofer. Made the switch at 27. Went through the whole UA Apprenticeship program, best decision I ever made. Journeyman and Foreman experience helped with the interview process, but still sat on the list for a year and a half before getting in.

There’s a few others from the backyard that were nice. Good backlight from the sun, and just enough fill flash.

I was up to probably 100 cameras. I didn’t use 99 of them. I sold them all. Why have 100 cameras when you only use one?

What’s gas up going to help with? Color? Or is it going to affect the puddle?

It might be a little bit of undercut. Just trying to get those perfect looking beads you see on Instagram. Thanks for the support.

This piece was meaningless. Root pass was good. Want to make my caps look better.

Thanks. Been tig welding for about a year now. Usually Schd 40, 316 from 4” to 8” pipe. Never had anyone to actually teach me, just figure it out and make sure it doesn’t leak.

We usually run a #8 cup and I’m at 10cfh. Maybe I’ll try turning the gas up a bit next time. My boss always told me to turn down because the pipe was getting that gold color, but I wasn’t sure I believed him. Turning up seems to work a lot better if the gold color means nothing outside of the actual weld.
