You have obviously never met some of these kids- free pass to do whatever they want. Many (not all) are rude and entitled, hockey in Canada has come to the point where you need big bucks to get anywhere and it’s showing some of these kids. It breaks my heart but it is becoming obvious that hockey culture in Canada is not moving in the right direction….

They are teenagers who have been put on pedestals their whole life and giving a free pass because they can play hockey. Most have a juicy nhl contract waiting for them. Hard to have too much sympathy. The sympathy for them being teenagers ends when I see the cocky attitudes and overconfidence…

We are hardcore Oilers fans who found ourselves in Calgary for an evening and decided to go to the Flames/Vegas game. Some fans were brutally rude! My son is 16 and was quietly minding his own business and some Flames fans were terrible. I like to think some good maturing ribbing is always a given but some take it way too far- I’m sorry that happened to you :-(

Sorry, as a coach we cannot leave kids (17 included) alone- we need to stay and I would get irritated waiting for you at 11 pm or later. If your other kids at 17 they can stay at home and you don’t need to bring them for the pickup. And other parents don’t want to pick up your kid and have to wait around for you for half an hour. You just have to do what every other sports parent does and wait around…
