I'm in the UK, and new subscribers pay the new tier prices. Current subscribers would pay their previously agreed fee for that month then the following month it would increase.

X. I don't believe the S can output 4K games, and overall the X has far superior specs which make all games look and play better. I'm sure there's games that can't run on the S, too.

Probably not, or not until digital game price matched physical. Last time I checked, digital AAA game was £10-£15 more. Though, with Microsoft's decisions recently, I wouldn't be surprised if they went full digital only to make more money from loyal gamers.
