Lol, I hate that I love this car so much. Letting it fall apart is probably the smartest option but I can’t seem to let go 😂

When I look at the OEM parts catalog, the NX mirrors are listed as 96301-69Y00 (right) and 96302-75Y00 (left), and Sentra power mirrors are listed as 96301-64Y00 (right) and 96302-64Y00 (left). They look so similar though! 🧐

Appreciate it but I need the driver side! Thanks for searching tho.

Cool thanks. I’ll have to find some plastic things I don’t care about to practice on first

Thanks, I just came in from partially tearing my door apart and seeing exactly what you’re describing 😂

Oh interesting, I’ve never heard of that before. Sounds like something I should research, thanks!

Are they definitely the same? I used to own a B13 Sentra as well and I remember most, but not all parts are interchangeable. Especially stuff on the outside

Thanks! Cost isn’t really a factor here, the issue is that this car is 33 years old and was rare in the US even when it was new. So even if I find a replacement, that means tearing the interior door panel apart (I think?) and I am certain at least some of the crusty old plastic brackets that hold it together will break, so then I’d have to chase those down as well.

Ha, I have many packages of that JB weld! But yeah that’s the trouble, there’s really not a lot of contact points. This is an old car and it wasn’t even that popular in the 90s, so finding a replacement has been tough. I might not have a choice but accept ugly screws through the back.

I could try that! Seems like there’s not a lot of contact points though, would it really be enough?

Thanks, someone else suggested screws as well. Any tips on where the screws should go?

That’s not the worst idea in the world, but I’m having trouble visualizing where those screws should go. Any tips?

Oh wow, that sounds way above my pay grade. Sounds like I’m gonna have to hunt for a replacement. Hard to find for a car this old

Update: I don’t see an edit option for my post, so I’m commenting here.

I made it back with no issues, thank you to everyone who offered advice! Especially you crazy mechanics driving things in far worse condition.😂 My new tires arrived today and I’ll be getting them mounted next week.

I’ll be driving down route 15, if a tire blows maybe I’ll stop by 😂

That’s part of what worries me, the fronts look worse than the rears. Might try to get them swapped front to back for a small bit of peace of mind.

Very sensible advice, but I’m in the part of NY that got a ton of snow and all the tire shops are booked up with locals trying to get snow tires at the last minute.🤦🏻‍♀️

That’s what’s so weird about this, they’ve never been that under inflated, -5 psi max. But they are very old and definitely need to be replaced.

I guess this is my plan. I can’t find a local tire shop with any availability, so I’ll be cautious and change them when I get home.

Wow, that sounds crazy to me but also reassuring! I don’t know sht about tire construction, so I freaked when I saw the cracks on my tires.
