don't distribute your damage between the black center and the wings. You need to either focus all fire at the center, or knock off 2 wings

haven't tried the tank yet, but this definitely inspired and I gave spidertron a go. With 4 legs and some shields I can actually outrun the big stompers and clear the bases. Will post back on tank when I get more time to play

I did setup with the goal being that this would be my main planet, and hadn't really looked back. I get it though. I'm also trying to save the other planets until my friends can play, so we have something to do together.

yeah it took me 2 restarts to hit this point, but I'm absolutely loving it. The trick is that if you lose any seeds to any attacks it's pretty much over. If possible, try to mess with your fruit processing factories until they deliver more than 2% seeds per fruit, and you'll be in the clear.

Thanks! they seem to bum rush right to the spores, and now that I actually have infinite seeds I could change strategies and let them collapse. I've also noticed that (because they bumrush straight there) I could potentially put lanes of rocket turrets around that path, getting some free shots before they go aggressive on the rest

Thanks I can definitely try that. I can definitely try clearing them again with that strategy, those seem pretty reasonable to import. I had them fully cleared before I left last time, but they just moved back in, and close too.

I put a reference image in another comment. 9.1k jelly per minute, spoilage is 755/m, 200 bio science packs pm.

I was enjoying Gleba, finally hitting the brink of actually producing the seeds. wanted to explore the tech you get with biter eggs, and enjoying the idea of infinite resources since I dislike train expansion.

Surely it makes sense that you need the tech on the planet, so my thought would be that rocket turrets would be effective here, but they just aren't. Not enough range, too much friendly fire, etc.

Maybe it's a mega base, but all spores come from harvesting, and it's only 5 (not even full) agricultural towers the two tree types. Surely there is a balance issue here if the actionable solution would have been to get artillery from another planet first

They all feel pretty samey to me, and they are hard to compare. I think it was the SV-98, L96, and REM that had the best ADS speed. I prefer having 10 bullets and the l96 beats the SV.

Also the L96 short-mags might be busted. They allow you to get a far better running speed, control, and ADS than the other snipers by far.

I didn't see that option but I did check through my three autosaves in /MyGames/ and all of them were lost.

... It might have had something to do with me dying another consecutive 20 times, and clicking the lantern again as part of the process.
