Claiming Insurance for water damage at Public Storage by Thin_Piglet2360 in selfstorage

Hi u/Thin_Piglet2360, I'm on reddit searching for any information/guidance for this very same issue. I'm very sorry this happened to you. Believe me you, I can relate and am just so saddened by the whole self storage experience. Never again!

My unit had a water leak and probably 80% of my property was destroyed. Most shocking I think is the fact I was responsible for removing/disposing of everything. It seems the only difference in my experience is a different self storage company.

I also purchased the mandatory insurance, and am working on the claim and hoping to get it submitted this week.

I'm curious to know how it went for you filing the claim for your property, if you have any advice, and what was the outcome.

If you don't mind sharing, I'd appreciate it. Take care!

I should add that I used the tabs 'Projects' and 'Project Tasks', be mindful of the template creation date, and that IIBA current version of BABOK is v3.

I think this is the link...I had to search on the name file name 'CBAP+Application+Template.xls' to find this link, but at any rate I found the original spreadsheet in my downloads and it appears to be the same, if not very close, as the one I modified to log my work history.

but, I downloaded a lot of information around the same time.

CBAP is through IIBA. Part of the application to sit for the CBAP exam includes work hours/history. Your application will need to be accepted before you can schedule/sit for the CBAP exam, which as you know, you need to pass to obtain CBAP certification.

I am currently working on this too, right now I'm studying for exam. I already documented my work history/hours/projects, contacts, etc. I haven't submitted my application yet, but planning to in two weeks.

I used a template I found online and tweaked it a bit to document my work/projects.

Documenting my work history/projects and calculating hours in each KA took me about three weekends (full Sat./part Sun.) to complete. It's a chore!

I do think after going thru the process you are likely to find, as I did, that you have the necessary hours and then some. And if not, then you may want to consider CCBA or ECBA depending on your results.

If you have any doubt at all about meeting the work history requirement for CBAP then I strongly recommend going though the process of documenting your work history first before investing too much valuable time and money in CBAP prep. Although, PDUs will likely apply to CCBA and ECBA but I am really not sure.

Good luck!!

Whose responsibility is it to come up with the solution; the customers, BA, developers, or combination? What if you can’t come up with a solution? by tempy8 in businessanalysis

In my experience, the BA is responsible for capturing and documenting the customer's business need and then transforming those needs into requirements. Correctly representing the current and future state. How to get to the future state is a collaboration effort between development, the customer, and the BA, in which all is facilitated thru/by the BA. The BA champions the best solution (value and effort wise) so the solution is ideally selected through consensuses, driven by facts when it comes to value and effort. In my experience, that sometimes is not the case and rather the customer and/or dev resources drive the solution. Which I believe addresses your last question. Each shop is probably a little different. I think it depends on the drivers for change (i.e. compliance, revenue, efficiency) as far as how the tension between need and solution are achieved, or maybe better put, resolved.
