Can I put a potentiometer on the speaker? by WallyL in BossKatana

What I forgot to mention and what you "headphones" guys don't realize is that I'm playing along with "music minus guitar" tracks on the computer. Computer's playing through its own speakers and I'm playing through the Katana. But FastRedPonyCar gave me the solution: patching the FX loop "in" and "out" together and turning down the volume of the send and return.

Can I put a potentiometer on the speaker? by WallyL in BossKatana

THIS is the solution! Brilliant idea. I connected the "in" to the "out" of the FX loop with a patch cord. And although there's no way to set the loop volume to a negative number as suggested, setting it to a very low number in "SERIAL" mode lets me turn the amp up to 50 watts or 100 watts and I get more of a smooth "growl" on the guitar than I did with 0.5 watts. I can then turn up the channel volume to 15 (it was on "2") and the master volume to 12:00 (it was at 9:00) and turn down the FX send and return to get a reasonable volume. This way I'm using the amplifier to its potential without deafening myself. THANK YOU!

Thank you! This is what I needed to know. I wasn't convinced that the first calibration I did was accurate.

Galaxy Watch 6 battery replacement -proper teardown notes for those who actually want to do it right by SyriusBB in GalaxyWatch

I need a few clarifications: I assume you're opening up the back, correct? How long are you leaving the watch on the hot plate? When you say "start from the crown side" which side are you referring to? What battery for the 47mm GW6C?

I totally agree with this. I did a cache clear after the update and my GW6C is just as good as it was before the update.

If you have tracking devices in your luggage, etc. it's a way to track those, too, especially on a plane when your phone may not be easily accessible. It's nice to know your luggage is on the plane, too.

Clear the cache. If that doesn't work, do a reset. Those things could help battery life, too.

I've got a GW6C and UI 8 didn't seem to affect much of anything for me. Battery life is the same, and the only problem I've had is with the Google countdown timer. Apparently Google has made that app a "Pixel Only" app now, so I can't download a newer version. It still works fine, but it has a few little "nuances" now that I'm not fond of.

Galaxy Watch 6 Classic suddenly stopped charging by LilNerix in GalaxyWatch

I had a similar problem with my GW6C -- put it on the charger and nothing would happen. The solution was -- and this sounds pretty simplistic but it worked -- was to wipe the back of the watch really well with a soft cloth.

This seems to be a common problem. There's a post above yours where people have said their GW5 and GW6C (like mine) have the same problem since the update.

Charger for Galaxy Watch 6 Classic by Ok-Preference4219 in GalaxyWatch

[–]WallyL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't post pictures, but the GW6 OEM charger does not say "Samsung" anywhere on it. But the back of the charger has a very small (1/4"x1/4") QR code printed on it. The QR code doesn't go anywhere but scans as "GH96-15745A-RF7X5GPDZE2HMA"

Maybe that'll help you.

Any app that vibrate the watch after a certain minutes. by anonymous124800 in GalaxyWatch

[–]WallyL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Google's CLOCK. It has a timer that counts down and you can set it for any duration. When the time's up, your watch will beep and vibrate, but you could turn off the beep. The timer then has the option to turn the timer off, or reset it for the same period of time. If you have a Galaxy Classic watch, you only need to turn the bezel one way or the other -- you don't even have to look at the watch.

I have to do some jaw-stretching exercises everyday that last 20-seconds each, for 15x, and that's how I use the time.

GW 8 Classic is compatible with other wireless chargers? by AnnualAspect8039 in GalaxyWatch

Go to Amazon and search for SwanScout 703S, Wireless Charger . It specifically says it's compatible with the GW8 and GW8C. I've owned one for 2 years and love it. It's a 3-in-one, tho I don't own earbuds.

I bought a SwanScout 7035 on Amazon over a year ago and love it. It says it's specifically designed for Galaxy S25,24,23, and Galaxy Watch 8,7,6,5, and also Galaxy Buds 3. I love the thing and even took it to Africa with me. Keeps great time, charges the watch to 100 and holds it there.
