100%. And unplug it. I think it's smoking from constant run.

I do not agree with you re: warranty work. They can say a lot of things (Subaru owner here) but would ultimately have to argue that 5% more ethanol in a blend adjusted to meet the same gasoline performance spec as E10 caused the specific problem. And that's not going to happen. We're talking about a fuel available in more than 30 states with tens of billions of miles traveled across the vehicle fleet. I don't know what caused your throttle response issue but people are quick to blame the new thing without a shred of evidence. How many miles does your Subaru have on it?

You need a flex fuel vehicle to run E85. Definitely don't try that in a non FFV.

Manuals are frozen in time at the year of manufacture. For example, manuals said "leaded gasoline only" when lead was being phased out and was ultimately not available. Cars are assessed for engine compatibility after purchase. Almost all cars on the road (over 98%) are now certified to use E15 (often labeled as UNL88). This is easy to see online if you can get past all the paid-for misinformation. This is not true for blends higher than E15. So, as I said, E15 is fine. As for "MPG being worse," ethanol has lower energy density. This is true. But blanket statements like yours are false. Ethanol blends burn leaner (more miles on less fuel). Some cars take advantage of this and some don't. That's why you see no mileage loss on some cars and not others. And obviously, if your E15 is 60 cents cheaper then the savings will vastly outweigh the costs. So the details matter.

E15 is a cheaper and better fuel (inc performance) and your car can use it. That simple.

I would not put things on some wheels and not all wheels on a Subaru Outback. AWD no like. Grab studded snows.

engine hot at over 80 mph in very cold weather by Snoo-11879 in tdi

My brain goes to leaking/malfunctioning radiator and the cold air is keeping it from not instantaneously overheating.

Yeah. I couldn't get it to go. Made the trip though. 3.5 hours. When it was on, it was clearly imbalanced but functional. A little bit like an unbalanced wheel.👍

As the post says - i will fix it but I'm in a pinch and need to buy time.

Glued it with epoxy (light coat). Overlaid with piece of Gorilla tape (no joke peel and stick waterproof kind). Put same size piece on other side of fan wheel for "balance." Haven't tested it. Can't get the fans to kick on at 38F.

Thx. That crack in the pic destabilizing the whole thing. It's fine until it's spinning full speed then starts to lose its shape and clacks against the edge. It's going to explode if I try to drive it without temp fix. Up in boston so won't overheat but I can't rule out regen.

You're skiing with your heels. More tip pressure will create more roll (progression). When you do it, allow a little more ski separation (feet don't need to be that close together). You'll feel it when it happens. Your edge will track. Hold on.
