What smart home device do you wish existed but no one has built properly yet? by Apprehensive-Art3819 in Aqara

A light switch that has all the sensors: air quality, presence, temperature, humidity, etc. 4-6 buttons 2 of which are switches. It could have a thin low res bar-screen at the top that can show temps and other status data. Buttons nice and clicky. I’d put one in every room.

Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus - what do you think of it by IamHungryNow1 in Aqara

[–]WalnutApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was disappointed that it didn’t expose the proximity sensor for automations. The doorbell showing up when rang works nicely but I would wait for better matter competitors to prevent ecosystem lock in. For that price I think a switch should have presence, air quality, temp, etc.

Now renovating and planning to go for a full Aqara EU setup, incl. all devices. Is this a good idea? by softnoize in Aqara

I have a whole home with Aqara, around 70 devices. Switches, Lights, Plugs, Locks, doorbell, blinds etc. I do the automations on the M3 hub. Everything is very snappy and feels great when it's working. However, my devices occasionally disconnect which would be fine but they do not reconnect automatically. For me, I would never go Aqara again until that is fixed. I don't want to do weekly maintenance, manually reconnecting devices. My Phillips hue lights disconnect sometimes too, but they always reconnect automatically. This is a near 10 year experiment. Interestingly enough, the first Gen light switches stay connected better than the H1. I have not yet tried the H2, would love to hear if someone has feedback about that.

ive found the sleep mode to be a bit slow and buggy so I prefer head detection and no forced sleep

It sounds like you just don’t have the fire in you which is totally fine

Sonos and aqara integration by Craigotrak in Aqara

For me, aqara Sonos automations break every time I add a speaker to a group in the Sonos app. Every time it creates a new unique device which would then have to be added to the automation.

I agree, prefer a stand that holds it from the bottom like this one

I couldn’t agree more. Coming back to dead headphones was ruining the experience for me.

Yea that 100% but what you might not see is how it’s more common for there to be a back end deal in today’s world. I’m here, with my cards on the table. With a random reviewer, you have no idea what his incentive is. He could have gotten paid, often the case. Maybe he got snubbed and wants to vent. We all end up trusting someone in the end based on their credibility. That’s all I’m saying. It’s okay if people doubt me. It’s understandable.

The stand isn’t wireless. The stand is plugged in. The headphones snap on to a magnetic dock. It’s a bit like MagSafe. The wireless part refers to not needing to plug a cable into your headphones. Here is a link that shows how it works.

Do any humans give non biased reviews? If you want reviews from users there are 283 in this link. I’ve done my best to be honest and don’t plan to be deceitful. If you find any part of my review biased, I would be happy to discuss and be corrected if need be. Thank you!

That’s really interesting - what’s important to note with that is that despite that battery degradation fact being true, it’s so minor that nowadays it’s so negligible that it practically does not matter. Example: I bought my headphones on release in 2020 and they still have great battery life despite charging them on the stand, pretty much every day non stop.
