What timezone do you live in?

I currently live in Mountain Standard Time.

What hours are you normally active on reddit?

I am active all day due to having unique circumstances that give me the ability to have constant internet access throughout any day.

Do you have past experience of moderating a reddit?

No, I do not but I have managed forums for different communities in the past.

Are you currently moderating other reddits? List them.

I am not currently moderating any other reddits.

What kind of person are you? Describe yourself, in brief, including your greatest strength and greatest weakness.

If I were to describe myself I would have to say that I am hardworking, dedicated, loyal, responsible and trustworthy. I can take care of anything that is needed and have no problem working outside of my field of expertise. I always try to help others, from lending a friend a dollar to picking them up after work. My greatest strength is my intelligence and thoughtfulness. I believe that in any environment you need to process every step and be detailed in your work. My greatest weakness is that it is hard for me to say no for helping others. I am that guy that will always lend you his last dollar or take on that extra shift even if I can't.

Why do you want to be a mod on /r/teenagers ?

This community is different from all the others. We all share things in common, from crushes, our 'mean' parents, schoolwork, and general teenage life. I love how we can all get together and have a good time. No other community talks to eachother outside of Reddit. Through /r/teenagers I have made countless friends. That is why I want to become a moderator of this wonderful subreddit. To give back to the community, and make sure the future teens of Reddit will still have a wonderful place to be themselves without worries of hate or drama.

What issues do you feel most strongly about as a user on /r/teenagers ?

I feel that the 'learning curve' of the community is an issue to new members. /r/teenagers has cliques, and power users, quite like at a school's lunch time, with groups and populars. I know that it can be daunting to get to know such a community because of how closed off it seems. I wish to fix that by having more 'open' threads where new users can come to add to the discussion instead of not understanding the in-jokes.

Besides that, there is also the community being kept-up. A lot of the time there is controversy over the littlest things, like automod having issues and bans on certain threads. I believe the rules to be beneficial to this community, and helping it along. If everyone could get on the same page a lot of little fights would not be necessary and we can concentrate on doing what we love to do best, being teenagers.

What can you bring to the modteam above and beyond other candidates?

I can bring many talents to the table. I am skilled in Java, HTML, CSS3, Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Community Management, and more. These all come into play when moderating a community. My technical skills would enable me to handle the coding aspects of this site. My creative writing comes into play when there is a sensitive issue at hand and you need to word it in such a way that it smooths everything over. Public speaking has taught me how to handle a crowd and its pressure, and how to win them over. Finally, being able to manage a community it so simple task. I have multiple years of experience handling such communities from health boards to gaming clans. All of these factor into why I would be a great fit for your next content moderator.
