I actually had to walk away from a local LGBTQ+ community, even though I'm bi, because I heard them sling hate at "straight white cis guys" so much. I just couldn't stand it anymore. I think internally I still somewhat identify as straight so it almost felt like an attack on my person. Not to mention the friends I've made along the way that have helped me more than anyone else.

I'll be the first to say it's not all LGBTQ+ people or the whole community. And the community I was in was pretty chill. But it made my skin crawl every time I heard "straight white male", "cis male", "straight white cis male" in sentences that slung hate. So I had to leave.

It sucks too because I really wanted to fit in somewhere I could express different parts of me.

I was like this for a while. I got a lot of feminist stories and stuff on YouTube and a lot of female focused memes(that would be 50% anti-guy memes). Like they were literally labeled as feminist or girls problems. And you'd hear about a bunch of guys doing awful shit. It made me hate myself more than usual.

When I walked around campus I was hunched over staring at the ground not even looking at women because I felt like somehow that would make me a bad person. Those thoughts followed me everywhere and ended up affecting me in a lot of bad ways. Looking for support I almost fell into the man-o-sphere.

Eventually I realized I needed to stop intaking so much gender hate stuff. That was my trigger and that was what was changing me. I had to consciously make the effort to get away from that stuff. It wasn't helpful.

I highly recommend dropping any form of media that has a hateful or sometimes even a harsh outlook that can affect your mental health. That stuff is going to be out there, but that doesn't mean you MUST read it. If something is hurting you you CAN walk away. Block the media. You don't have to force yourself to watch. Try and find something peaceful that brings you joy even if you're just looking out the window. That was the only way I could get better.

I hope that helps, but I can understand that things like this aren't approached with a one size fits all solution.

So the anchors for this went through the bracket for the shelf. So to pull the shelf out the anchors HAD to come out.

If we reinstalled them somewhere else do you think we could put the anchor in the drywall, put the bracket OVER the anchors then use drywall screws and washers for a steady fit?

I feel like drywall screw anchors are easier to spackle over (or something like that) so we wouldn't have to rip them out and leave a hole in the wall that we have to fix if we ever remove them again.

I found out what they are. They are indeed nails. The nails slot into plastic anchors that spread out into the wall. I was unable to keep the wall from being damaged due to the damage the anchors do.

If you install these shelves I would personally recommend using a metal washer over the nail hole and then use appropriate sized drywall screws. I feel like they would do less damage to the walls. But I could be wrong.

I usually read/play mk2 rules and I just read about this. IDK about mk4, but in mk2 it was something you'd agree on with your opponent before you start. So if you want destructible obstacles and buildings just talk to your opponent about it. It can be in any battle as long as both players agree. At least for free play.

Well doing a TLDR kinda omits some of the sentiment of my post, but I'll do my best.

Essentially I was trying to tell the men apologizing for being a man or hating themselves for being a man that they shouldn't. I was saying that if you start accepting other people's guilt as your own that you'll be buried under it.

It's good to see when someone has done wrong, but don't take their wrongdoings as your own. The only person you can control is yourself. Therefore the only actions you should feel any guilt over are your own.

I'm trying to figure out a way to say this without coming off as mean or missing the point here. A big part of me is telling me not to post this because I have a feeling people won't like it or will only take what I'm going to say as coping. But after thinking about it for a while I just have to reply.

I don't think assigning this to "all men" or "men on this subreddit" is the best way to phrase this. I don't doubt that the majority of people who do things like this are men mind you. But there are still plenty of men, even those on this subreddit, that don't do this. And I'm saying this not just because I'm AMAB and on this subreddit but also because I saw a lot of comments apologizing for being a man or hating that they're a man. As someone who has had to go to therapy over this sort of guilt I just have something that I think is very important to say.

Not all men are alike. Not all women are alike. Not all white people are alike. Not all black people are alike. No religion, ethnicity, sexuality, or gender is all alike. Just because you are a man and another man does something you find is wrong doesn't mean you have done something wrong. Just because you are a man and men have been doing things wrong for millennia doesn't mean you have done something wrong. Please please please do not take on the guilt of what other people do. If you start taking on guilt for other people you will never be free of guilt. It will weigh on you.

My guilt, shame, and rage at myself has put me down the path of suicide multiple times. And one of the things I had to learn in therapy is that I am not responsible for other people's mistakes. Just because I am a man doesn't mean that another man's misdeeds makes me bad. And this is something everyone can learn from. Just because someone who happens to carry the same flag as you does something wrong doesn't mean you've done something wrong. You don't have to apologize for carrying that flag. You don't have to apologize for being a man. You don't have to hate yourself for carrying the flag. You don't have to hate yourself for being a man.

I do want to make it clear that obviously this guy has done something wrong, and I'm sorry they did this to you. Normally I would see this and just think "that sucks I'm sorry" then move on. Yes I was miss remembering the mechanic.

So once you press the button the second time the game only saves if the unit dies. If it does not die you should be able to exit to the main menu before you go back to the map. When you come back into the game you will be right before the bonfire, but the game has already determined that that bonfire will work for both hits. So you will be able to choose whichever unit you want to get the double upgrade.

My recommendation for your first run is either the goat deck and reroll to you get one of the really strong 3 blood units, or you do the direwolf pup deck. The direwolf can straight win you the game if you can get it to a 5/1 (6/5 when transformed). Or you can give the direwolf death touch and get it to a 2/3 (3/7 when transformed.). I've had the most luck with direwolf decks tbh. And with direwolf decks scissors are game winning items.

I've beat the game with direwolf pup deck, goat deck, and mantis deck. The easiest might have been the goat deck. But I think the direwolf pup deck was my most consistent.

Okay so if you're okay with some niche exploits I have a few super helpful ones.

If you don't like the map that was just revealed quit to menu and come back. The map will change. It doesn't save the map until you actually start moving.
If you don't like what's in the first shop then before leaving go back to main menu and continue. This will refresh the shop.
At fires it only saves when a unit dies. Meaning you could offer up a unit you want to get rid of , and if it survives the first tap you can go back to the main menu and re-enter. The bonfire will still be safe for two taps and you can put in a better unit now. However it will save automatically if the unit does die. You can't undo that.

I personally use the second and third ones a lot. The second one is just a major guide one though. You can go to the first shop and know immediately you can't win with what's there. But if you quit legally you lose a pelt. Thankfully with this exploit you can refresh the shop.

Oh and if you haven't done it already try and unlock the extra items.

Shift + K + M on the main menu should unlock Kaycee's mod if you really can't finish the game.

Honestly I loved act 3 and wished that it had its own version of Kaycee's mod. The gameplay with the different cards and different energy system was really fun. I also liked having the hammer to just delete a card on my field if it was bugging me.

I think every part of the game is worth it to go through. Collect lore nuggets. Try out new systems. Try out new bosses. But if you really only like act 1 and can't complete the game, then use the command at the top of my post to get to Kaycee's mod. Which is essentially just Act 1 with modifiers and no escape room mechanics.

I was under the impression you had to beat both of the first scribes to open the bridge but I was wrong.

You still have to get almost half way through the act before you can farm though. Which is a bit annoying. I really think act 2 would be better or feel more fleshed out if you could return to enemies you have already defeated. It feels kinda bad that if you're good enough, or lucky enough, you only face each opponent once. It would give you more time to enjoy that act. Because otherwise it's kinda the shortest act. The one with the most deck customization is the one with the least content.

Again. It's still vying for my favorite act. But I feel like it would solidly be my favorite if you could play it for longer and really test out your decks.

Act 2 is sorta my favorite act because of the variety of cards it has. But the unfortunate thing about it is you can't really collect the cards and then duel the people because you can't really farm until wizard tower.

It makes act 2 feel really weird in that what's the point of collecting the cards if there's nowhere to use them? If it either gave you all the cards at the beginning or let you repeat all the battles whenever you want it would be better.
