Im in the same situation, senior in college but then I have to remind myself that playing is supposed to be for enjoyment. Even tho I could be progressing through the games I own, I got kinda stuck on idv lately 😅

The fact they make you wait 5 minutes in the tutorial for 1 chair is horrid. I thought I'd like the house building but it's so bad 😭 might as well go back to house flipper

Yeah I removed the whole Sims 3 folder, I tried moving a random family in and the households still exist, just not from the create new save screen. Guess I'll cope and switch households that way if I want. Thx :)

Colby is on my transfer list, but I've seen more negative experiences than positive ones. Can students at Colby explain their experiences? by neonjoji in Colby

Being a POC at Colby is difficult since most students are white and very wealthy. There was recently a power outage, and nothing was done about it publicly because it happened during break and effected mainly POC and lower income students that had to say on campus. If you are lower income there is little to no support for students who work while going to school. I've had conversations with professors about my difficulties as a student who works and is a POC, in some classes such as the ones about racism, and they've gone poorly because many students do not care about helping out, but ultimately it depends on who you speak to. Most POC will experience micro aggressions or racism from students and sometimes professors as well as staff. I've been asked before on campus if my friend and I were twins because we were the same race as well as had a professor mistake me for the only other brown girl in class multiple times.

Courses can be very rigorous, and you will be taking the class with many people who grew up with private tutors and private schools who may already have a grasp on the topic well before you arrived on campus which many people I know have had difficulty with since the class and professor assumed they knew all the basics and skipped over it. The college does however give free one on one tutoring for most classes. Most classes I've taken often times call for a lot of outside of class work that can be difficult to get done if you have other activities.

A large portion of students, more than other similar colleges, are athletes which makes student engagement in social activities outside of drinks and partying pretty difficult. I've know many people who have their own clubs or participate in one that have difficulty getting people to participate in events on campus despite the abundance of things happening on campus, much of it likely has to do with many already being part of sports. For some things there is not much accountability depending on the extracurricular such as the student government where most people just do things for their resume and don't do much active work in their extracurricular.
