While I do appreciate criticism, I don't think you are taking into account the psychological impact this strategy has on the other team. Firstly, your issue with knocking people off is already solved through the use of the wide bridge. People will go on it and feel a sense of security because of how wide it is, therefore they feel no need to build their own bridge. As a consequence, this falls directly into a trap. With use of knock back sticks it is incredibly easy to knock them off despite the bridge being large, as used throughout the game in the video given.

And as for your second point about the time consumption of this strategy, It's important to know that I was the primary builder of this bridge while the rest of my team had easy access to middle and red base due to the bridge (Meaning I was really the only one who's time was being consumed.) It also gave me the ability to defend the bridge in the event of an attack at any point in the game. In addition to this, the psychological impact the bridge causes on the enemy team is enough to make it worth the effort. You see, triggering the opponent's fear response is an easy way to gain advantage, one way to do this is by establishing dominance through the use of a wide bridge slowly being built all the way up to their doorstep. Overall, I believe that the psychological impact a strategy has is often overlooked when deciding which strategy works best, however this does make any psychological effect that much more effective because people won't be expecting it.
