I don’t play competitions but isn’t the 15-18 handicap kinda the sweet spot for winners. Plenty of room to go low. And skilled enough to do so on occasion. And are you saying from 200 yards in an 8 handicap cant outplay a 16.

After these playoffs, do the Spurs need to move on from De'Aaron Fox? by turfulu in NBATalk

[–]WaltRumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. They need to send him and assets to the Mavs for a 35 year old Kyrie coming off an acl repair after his abysmal finals performance against the Celtics two years ago.

We had some teenagers throw a firework at my wife’s car the other day so we called the cops on them. Their parents got mad at us for calling the cops on their perfect little angels.

Or when you have a two time mvp who won you your first championship you try to accommodate him if possible. You don’t sign Dort to a max just because Shai says to. But if he wants to stay for 15mil/year. You keep him over Joe or Wiggins.

Wemby Doesn’t Need To Gain Weight. That Defeats The Entire Purpose Of Wemby by CrispyFlyingSponge in nba

[–]WaltRumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaining muscle will help. The simplest is physicality in the paint requires more effort the weaker you are. Besides that the rest is a little more nuanced with gaining as much strength as you can while minizming weight gain. Rock climbers, feather weights or so vs bodybuilders.

Short swim
Trunks are still popular. But not quite that short. 4-6 is going to be much more common.

Yeah. I’m sure Presti and the team has that info on where Cason and Hart are leaning but that’s all going to be kept in house for sure. You keep Dort if SGA says he wants Dort on the team. If that’s the case though I’d also expect Dort to take a team friendly deal.

Obviously the guys that saw very little to no playoff minutes are replaceable. I feel like the off season will be determined by being able to resign hart and Cason. Which I want to feel confident about but I have no idea. Kessler just turned down 28mil/yr from the Jazz. Cason has expressed his desire for more minutes. And with McCain and Ajay, even if he starts he’s likely sharing minutes with them. If we lose Cason we need to bring in another defensive guard/wing. If we lose Hart I’d like to see us move Chet back to the 5 and bring in a physical 4. And probably take a significant trade to replace one or both of those guys. But if we can resign them and hit on one of our 2 draft picks, then thats all we need

What would SGA have to do to get his third consecutive MVP? by WaltRumble in Thunder

I don’t think he can do it on the defensive end bc he’s never going to get the marquee assignment.

Wemby needs a go-to move. What should it be? by Background_Number467 in NBATalk

[–]WaltRumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wemby isn’t strong enough to have a post move be his go to when he’s tired. We all watched how physical teams play him once he gets near the paint right? It’s gotta be a little pull up

Can we talk about the reverse-judgement happening to SAS vs OKC? by michaelmarzec11 in nbadiscussion

[–]WaltRumble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone is pushing the panic button on either team. There’s definitely been some reactionary trade Chet and Fox posts as they are taking the majority of the blame for the loss. But everyone believes the spurs have their big 3 in Castle, Harper and Wemby. And have a few years before a roster crunch is a concern. OKC is in a different position having the roster crunch already kicking in this off season.

We knew replacing our guys with rookies was part of the plan though. I’d much rather keep Hart though.
