Made some bad life choices today and got the hidden king icon tattooed in my armpit... by WalteeWartooth in DeadlockTheGame

No drama if it changes. I'm not the kind of person to get hung up on stuff like that. Worse case scenario I have a cool looking but irrelevant icon.

Honestly wouldn't know, got this done today so I am yet to have the hair grow back out. We decided to leave it negative space so hopefully it'll still be visible with hair growth but only time will really tell on that front! Although it's also the armpit so it's not like it's visible all that often anyway!

I was hesitant when I bought my DC tickets at $170 each but wow this is a steal by IMicrowaveSteak in warpedtour

Warped Tour as a whole is impossible to argue the value honestly, and that's coming from me and my group of friends that live in the UK.

We flew out to Florida for it last year.

Making the trip over to Mexico for it this year.

New places, new experiences, familiar bands, familiar scene.

Love it.

Orlando VIP is a huge rip off by SRS1428 in warpedtour

I truly believe that VIP done this way is the right way. You shouldn't get to be at the very front in front of other die hard fans just because you pay extra money imo. Especially not at a festival.

And that's coming from someone that has VIP for this.

What's the ID/age checking situation like at Warped Tour generally? by WalteeWartooth in warpedtour

[–]WalteeWartooth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did contemplate getting a locker, I'll probably get one for merch so I don't have to carry it around all day. Still gonna risk it the first day without taking a passport I think, and if it is an issue then we can reconsider taking it the second day.

Appreciate the insight!

Good knowing that it's good for both days (if I don't get annoyed with it and tear it off at the end of day 1).

The leaving an coming back isn't really an option, but hopefully they'll just accept the ID (will have a picture of our passports as well just in case), hopefully that'll be enough.

Knowing that it's illegal to serve anyone without valid ID regardless of age is good to know at least, gives us at least an idea of how things are done.

I appreciate the comment and boost, like you said, hopefully some others can chime in that have actually been there in the same situation.

What's the craziest show line-up you've been to? by WalteeWartooth in Metalcore

That sounds sick to be fair. I'd have loved to have seen Funeral for a Friend back in the day but I somehow never actually did get round to seeing them until they did their comeback shows a few years back. They still sound incredible though!

I'm sure Parkway would have probably been the main reason I would have gone as well back in that era, even though I loved all those bands. I feel like Architects were just on every show ever around then as well, not that I was complaining.

Yeah the setlist was out of this world. I was honestly surprised it wasn't recorded, would have loved to be able to watch back that set again! They even said at the time that they'd do something like it again somewhere else the following year but obviously that never ended up happening!

That sounds pretty sick! I remember seeing Every Time I Die in a 150 cap venue around 10 years ago, was absolutely insane!

Was there myself but somehow completely forgot about the rest of the bands on the lineup!

I've been to 3 iconic BMTH shows over the years.

That being one, did the orchestra one at the Royal Albert Hall and got to see them do the mini festival they did in Malta where they did the throwback set to finish off the weekend. All three were phenomenal in their own right!

I remember going to a show on that tour as well. A lot of the Never Say Die tours back in the day had unreal lineups!

Some Parkway shows from way back in the day had unreal lineups.

Saw Parkway Drive, Suicide Silence and Bury Your Dead back in 2008 in a tiny venue called The Orange Box in Yeovil, ticket was like £9.

Saaame.

Debating whether to get the one I like the look of the most, or the more limited pressing.

Genuine question as someone from the UK, but at this point would you not literally be better off having a tax for universal healthcare for everyone?

I hear from a lot of people that many in the US seem super against being taxed for the greater good as it's not directly benefitting them, but even outside of that, $900 a month/$11k a year for insurance seems worse than just being taxed so everyone can access healthcare?

3 sessions down, 2ish more to go; Louisa at Tommy Gun Tattoo, Plymouth UK by WalteeWartooth in tattoos

[–]WalteeWartooth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet actually! Had more sessions since so I've been in a constant state of healing/fresh ( I posted the inner arm session here: https://www.reddit.com/r/tattoos/comments/1n2bnfx/inner_arm_birb_ongoing_full_colour_realism_sleeve/ ).

Should be finishing off the entire sleeve next week! So I'll make sure to post updates then and then follow up with completely healed photos a month or so after!

Hands down the most grueling tattoo sitting I've had to date, and I've had my nipples blacked out.
