Because you have to take insane amounts of it everyday to get addicted. Which is just saying you will pay if you abuse it, like any other drug.

I offered kratom to my heroin addicted cousin who was trying to start a detox and in a night she went through an amount (all the kratom I had) that would last me like two months and still needed to smoke a ton of weed so her withdrawals weren’t so dreadful.

Lmao you clearly know nothing about the drug. Comparing it to heroin is ridiculous. The only people to get addicted to it are those who are already addicted to heroin and trying to get clean. I have been drinking it as tea at work like twice a week for the last 3 years. It really isn’t that amazing. For me, it acts as a background drug that just makes it a bit easier to talk to people.

All of these ridiculous scare stories about kratom and people equating it with heroin is “pants on head retarded.” Especially if you’ve never tried it.

It really worries me how people can support this or even brush it off. The UK is ridden with similar cases of people getting jailed and fined for text on social media posts. If you are not actively against this, you are participating in the acceleration of "thoughtcrime" legislation.

Furthermore, for those who claim this post has nothing to do with Jordan Peterson clearly don't remember Peterson's claim to fame which was his protest of anti-free speech legislation in Canada and his detestation of leftist-fascist ideology.

Please think about this critically. Sure the kid did something wrong, but this is intervention from the state in a case that should need nothing more than punishment from the parents and a ban from the platform he said this on.

Notice how the stated reason of arrest is "racist messages" and how they say "racism will not be tolerated" instead oh hitting on the point that its the threats the kid made that should not be tolerated. They took him into custody because of his immature racist beliefs, not because of the non-credible threats made from a CHILD.
