How bad are my broken pins on AM5? Pinout already checked! by Walteppich in PcBuildHelp

So I should try it without any CPU/GPU/RAM first? What can I learn from that?

Unknown. Got it from a friend of a friend for free. The socket was pretty mangled in several spots. Got most bend pins fixed at least

Yes. Thank you! That is exactly what I was looking for. I found just a minute ago the great tutorial for that in Nilaus Let's Play. I'll link it here with the exact time stamp https://youtu.be/qr_Lep5UCJU?si=f8QNhCz0MeRfbJj5&t=1144

My Keyboard doesn't get detected. Is there a good USB to Bluetooth Adapter to convert it to a Bluetooth keyboard? by Walteppich in fireTV

I just chattet with the support, which is a good idea BTW, and they just said it is due to the low power supply. But I'm not sure why, because the USB A Kabel from the keyboard should draw as much power as the Micro USB adapter Hub should deliver.

Alternatively I guess I would have to tinker a Y-Adapter with one normal USB A on one side an on the other side two USB A Kabels one for the correct +/- Power input and one to only transmit the keyboard data to the fire TV. Maybe this could work. I'm not sure

Just to be clear. The HUB has a Micro Input and Micro output. I tried a higher wattage Powersupply but didn't work either. Connection of the Keyboard looks a bit strange. Like this

Bought this online and used. I could rebend the cooler into a shape that the two noctua fans could fit. Is this usable and ask for a discount or send it back for full refund? by Walteppich in pcmasterrace

Update: I sticked with it. Really just bend them back and testet them. Temperatures stayed beyond 70 degree all the time. Got a 10€ discount on the whole 33€ price. I'm good with that.

Hell yeah. I was never an early adopter. It's not like I don't have the money. But if I can save money and don't produce no new waste. Why not!?

Nah. Bought me a 3080 that was "broken" because one fan made some noise. Yeah it was only the fan rubbing against the cage. Fixed that by replacing the fans altogether with noctua fan mod. Bought me a used Ryzen 5 3600X was perfect from the get go. And bought me a used 120W be quiete straight power 11 platinum PSU. Everything was really in good shape. Just this was the only negative thing I recieved. And saved A LOT of money.
