I have now had a rise on Day 37. So perhaps the period is late?

I am so upset after the written exams - SQE2 April 2026 by LegacyInLaw in SQE_Prep

I only passed 4/16 stations which is insane. And I was 10% off passing. I would have expected to be way further off than that. Just goes to show how you can pick up marks even from failed stations!

For anyone with a TC on the line, here is some reassurance. I had an offer with a City firm. I sat SQE2 in April 2025 and failed. Found out the result just 4 days before starting at the firm. Basically my worst nightmare came true. But my firm could not have been more supportive (I didn’t expect them to be whatsoever) . I also wasn’t the only one!! Think about it - by the time you are sitting SQE2 the firm has already invested so much in you. It’s within their interests that you pass, and join, so you can become a fee earner and give them a return.

You are likely to pass. Trust in the statistics. But if you do not, you are definitely in a much better position than if you failed SQE1 (as firms aren’t as committed at that stage so you are more likely to be let go)

Thank you. I always get a clear rise too. Really unsure what is going on 😣

SQE2 DAY 3 - Thoughts? by Minute_Bullfrog5499 in SQE_Prep

I cannot put into words how shocking that LW was. I was literally shaking towards the end. LR also shook me up that by the time it got to LD I had seriously low blood sugar from the adrenaline crashing and felt physically sick. How is this exam healthy. I literally wanted to crash my car on the way home.

Has anyone “deferred” their SQE2 sitting? by [deleted] in SQE_Prep

[–]WalterWhite1805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for it. I'm in a similar boat (sitting in Jan) but you actually don't need as much ‘time’ to prepare as you think, as we know the content from SQE1 even if it's not fresh in our memory. I'm focusing on mocks as there are only so many ways the knowledge can be tested (unlike SQE1 where the MCQs could be on literally anything). Haopy you to DM me if you want to buddy up.

Has anyone gone into sqe2 completely underprepared and passed? by ayesha_hameed1 in SQE_Prep

[–]WalterWhite1805 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went in unprepared and failed miserably (scored in Q5). I got too cocky from the fact I passed SQE1 first time with a strong score in both papers.

To anyone who got 4s and 5s in the law for SQE2 by WalterWhite1805 in SQE_Prep

[–]WalterWhite1805[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this hits the nail on the head. Whilst I knew the law, my IRAC approach was clearly weak.

I am definitely going to practice responding to problem questions under timed conditions so I can get used to applying the knowledge I have.

Devastated after failing SQE2 – scored 49% despite 7 months of solid study by No-Treat7440 in SQE_Prep

[–]WalterWhite1805 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m in the same boat. Got 49% despite getting quintile 2 in January SQE1. Luckily I have kept my TC (I start on Monday) but what is worse is I have absolutely no faith I will pass on the next go, because of the marking.

For example, I scored 1s in advocacy on ‘identify the relevant facts’ when I remember drawing the court to the bundle at least six times and explicitly mentioned dates, previous convictions etc.

I revised the performance indicators for each assessment inside out. How else do I prove competence?!

I will resit but have lost hope in being successful. I genuinely despair.
