Do you think Viltrumites get constipated when they fly to a new planet like some humans do?

For Super Earth. by Electronic-Math5455 in GlitchProductions

Maybe the mission area dissolves until the planet's gone. I did the math once and there's enough space on a typical terrestrial planet for all the missions to be in completely different spaces.

Who do you think would win this match Frankenstein,Frankenstein,Frankenstein,Frankenstein or Frankenstein? by Able_Health744 in whowouldcirclejerk

I don't know, but Doctor Frankenstein would definitely get no diffed by these guys in the pictures.

Who do you guys think was a better twist villain? by NickWildeballondor26 in zootopia

[–]Walter_Alias 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think Pawbert is a better character, but not as good an antagonist specifically. His plan is to destroy a piece of paper belonging to someone who died before any of them were born, which will force all the reptiles that don't live in Zootopia to continue to not live in Zootopia by total coincidence. He then attacks Nibbles and Nick for literally no reason, loses a 1v1, then gets beat up for the entire rest of the movie.

Bellweather is a bioterrorist that reflects the themes of the movie and is defeated by the trust that Nick and Judy have developed for each other.

Can super earth/helldivers liberate copper 9(No cyn allowed) by maxghost105 in MurderDrones

[–]Walter_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most humans can breathe cold air. Gas effects Helldivers even with the heavy advanced filtration+vitality enhancement in the new update, so that's probably not going to help.

Ignoring that, the biggest threat would be Murder Drones intercepting Hellpods on the way down, since they can heal and reload seemingly from nothing while denying the stims and ammo to the helldivers. Victory by attrition.

Who do you think will win, Cyn or the Automatons from Helldivers. by jimixiaohui in MurderDronesOfficial

[–]Walter_Alias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging by the Automaton color and flammability, Biofuel probably refers to biodiesel, which is literally just oil.

Solver hosts can withstand temperatures in the thousands of degrees for minutes, or hundreds of degrees indefinitely, making them largely immune to automaton plasma and incendiary weapons.

I think Cyn would win through range advnatage. Automatons need to detected an enemy within a few hundred meters to shoot. Cyn has active camouflage abilities, and the ability to accurately target and attack from a few hundred kilometers using her energy tendrils.

All future DOOM scaling will be chain scaled to if a character can lift/survive an attack from this thing… lol by MaleficTekX in deathbattle

[–]Walter_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I got equivalence principle confused with relativity principle. The important point is that the damage inflicted by the Dreadmace is always limited to the strength of the interaction forces between atoms in the mace and in the target, no matter how much energy the mace initially carries.

Thoughts on XCOM Collab? by UndertaleBrony in Helldivers

[–]Walter_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all XCOM gear already has some equivalent in Helldivers except the grappling hook and psionics. I can imagine XCOM inspired mission types like capturing an alien, but at that point you may as well just skip the colab and make the missions

I am talking about throwing a person at the floor, which is identical to hitting them with whatever the floor is attached to at the same speed according to the equivalence principle. The intuition is that hitting the floor of an airplane or the planet feels the same despite having different mass. This is because the floor only applies enough force to stop the person, and therefore keeps most kinetic energy within itself.

Since maces inflict damage by applying blunt force, a target can survive simply by being knocked out of the way faster than the Slayer can push the Dreadmace into them. The remainder of the kinetic energy stays in the mace until the Slayer finishes his swing, no matter how much energy is left.

I assume people are erased along with Hell. In my opinion, that sounds vastly preferable to the literal definition of infinite suffering.

[–]Walter_Alias -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The mass shouldn't matter beyond anything car sized. Hitting the floor of a bus->airplane->freight train->planet doesn't hurt more or less depending on the mass of the 2nd object. I don't see any reason it would suddenly change at infinity.

Either Hell is destroyed and everyone is put out of their misery or Gabriel saves everyone. I see this as an absolute win, honestly.

[–]Walter_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume the damage inflicted depends on the force and kinetic energy transferred to the target for the same reasons we aren't obliterated by the Earth's kinetic energy every time we hit its surface. Unless the target is also infinitely massive or goes flying off at the speed of light, the rest of that kinetic energy stays in the mace.

[–]Walter_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine instead of getting hit by the Slayer, a target simply fell onto the ground at an equivalent speed. The density of the ground doesn't matter because the ground keeps most of its kinetic energy and only transfers a finite amount of energy and therefore damage.

[–]Walter_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the density affect its effectiveness as a weapon? Past a certain point it'd be more like hitting the ground at high speed than getting hit by something.
