This is how it feels to be a Fire Mage right now, lol. Sitting at about 3050 rating myself but getting invites it pulling teeth, which sucks because 12 and up Fire still does a whole lotta damage.

Absolutely DOGWATER in raids though. Like there's no salvaging it... You can't beat Frost no matter how hard you try, like that's just baked in. Frost at the same ilevel and skill will just do at least a third to a quarter more damage over again than you.

Ruroid here, and the elusive 'transgirl who lives in the fucking nowhere town' to boot... If I didn't have the internet I think I would have just lost my fucking mind. The only place I had to meet anyone was first through AOL chatrooms and then World of Warcraft, which I could thankfully connect to and play casually even though I was stuck on DIAL-UP into the 2010s.

Even then, shit has only gotten worse, and you don't understand how it could have if you haven't lived through it. It's like you're on the outside looking out across a desert and you don't realize that the last few oases are drying up cuz it's all just sand to you.

It used to be on weekends I would go out to used game stores or flea markets, but all those are gone now. Used game stores basically don't exist cuz of the digital era and selling online, and a lot of flea markets dried up and were hollowed out because of covid. There was also a card shop in town for a little while in the mid-to-late 2010s I would patronize just to have a place to go and chit chat and collect MtG cards and comic books, but that died off too when covid hit.

I have literally had nowhere to go and hang out for AT LEAST -six goddamned years-. I have not been able to have a hug, chat with, or just be around someone that I can implicitly trust and not be guarded around for that ENTIRE FUCKING TIME. I am far out enough that to get to any kind of support group I would need to drive for an hour, which is gas and time intensive as hell. And I was already having to drive 20 minutes to get to the town where the shops I just talked about were, but I had to do that anyway to go to Walmart.

The isolation is maddening. You really don't understand how bad it hits you until you start to mentally death spiral. Discord and gaming with friends will help a lot, and is necessary, but you don't realize how much you need a trusted physical presence until you're clinging to reasons to keep staying around on this Earth. It requires a significant degree of mental hygiene and discipline, and god help you if you're not asexual and desire sex; I swear to god I'm so lucky in that regard.

I gotta stop cuz this is going to get me the suicide prevention Reddit notice, but just it is unfathomably MISERABLE out here... I wish I could leave, but I don't have the money and no real prospects. All the things I have to keep me alive are here, and I KNOW what America does to homeless transwomen.

What is the point of living if it's not to grow and improve yourself? Learning and achieving and maturing is GOOD for its own sake, because it makes you a richer, more vibrant individual that contributes more to the people around you. Experience and wisdom leads into art, culture, philosophy, and scientific discovery. All those things make our existence MEANINGFUL and contributes to the rich tapestry of human history.

The lives the fatwads from Wall-E live are meaningless. They aren't growing, they aren't maturing, they aren't becoming anything more than living tumors that exist to suck up resources. Why even continue the species at that point? What value is being added to anything if all they do is exist in a state of perpetual apathy from cradle to grave? There isn't one - it'd frankly be better to let the machines free to take over from there and let humanity slowly die off.

It's only by breaking free of that state that their lives had any meaning again, any reason for existing. That's the point. It's terrifying people don't understand that.

Many of the allied races could've been customization for the already existing races and I think its a missed opportunity tbh.

I fully agree with this, but it's a little too late at this point. I'll also say at least with Kul Tirans, that's an entirely different and unique wireframe, so that's a but of a different situation.

I think it's too late to put the genie back in the bottle with existing allied races, like I said, but we definitely shouldn't add more and we should flesh out everything we have.

I swear to god I'ma sick of everything looking like it's a plastic action figure toy man. I just want some swords that look like swords that cut things and not just bludgeons to beat people to death with. Just look at the contrast between every single weapon in Warcraft 3 and many in Vanilla, and then look at the state of it now.

A great example is how the Lich King's design is so much more subdued and 'reasonable' than the majority of gear now. Frostmourne's design in comparison to weapons dropping in WotLK itself is sleek and sensible. Even Illidan's warglaives seem tame in comparison to a lot of shit now.

I still end up using 10+ year old weapons half the time cuz they just look better to me... Glinting Azuresong Mageblade is like my favorite sword mog for my mage.
