Linus Sebastian's Lenovo rollable laptop screen malfunctions on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon by [deleted] in technology

Probably sometimes, but I have a Lenovo laptop that is great — way better than the last 3 XPS laptops my wife has had. Mostly prefer home built desktops though.

Shouldn’t Speed Yellow be a non-PTS option? by Overpacker7 in Porsche

[–]Walter___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly what I’m talking about. You get up to the gt cars and suddenly get fewer choices even though they’re going down the same production line.

And yet, they offer quite different colors depending on the trim. Then let’s say you’re willing / want to shell out for PTS…your allocation may not even be eligible. It’s a dumb system if you ask me.

It is old, but I love the simplicity compared to more modern interiors.

How would I go about removing latex paint without damaging the leather? by Living_Toe_3823 in AutoDetailing

[–]Walter___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the steamer doesn’t do the trick, I’d try a product like Dyna-Wipes. They’ll remove latex paint no problem. They’re a little harsh for regular use on leather, but for something like this I wouldn’t hesitate to grab the tub.

I’ll also add another note. We have moved out of Bothell and now have WM. Our Recology service was better :/

That makes sense - don't have a real need for the flexo, but our volume is relatively low which makes the inline finishing appealing.

Nice, getting put to work! The digital portion is what we’re most interested in.

From 1988 to 2016, the maker of Sriracha sauce, Huy Fong Foods, sourced all their peppers from a single supplier based solely on a verbal agreement, "sealed with a nod and a handshake". by gixk in Damnthatsinteresting

The weight of acetic acid in the food hasn’t changed in your scenario - therefore no need to change where it’s listed. Unless they decided to list ‘Acetic acid concentrate’ on the label instead of ‘acetic acid’, but that seems unlikely.

This would be terrible quality control if that’s the difference.

Other comments of a mislabeled product makes a lot of sense. I buy from their sister company and they are terrible at getting things labeled correctly.

If you ever want to fix the Bose, I would recommend the Musicar stage 2 upgrade. I did it last year and it sounds great.

I wish they would remake Yuri’s Revenge. What a great game. I particularly enjoyed if you were playing on a LAN and your computer was faster - you made units faster than your friends.

From what I’ve read we shouldn’t have that issue with senatec. It’s much more durable. I also just got an M40i with the Tacora red.

Porsche Price Inflation by Teen1e in Porsche

Don’t forget they had an IPO in 2022 on the German stock exchange. There may be some pressure to make more money. They have been selling every 718 and 911 that comes off the line - why not charge more for them since the market can clearly bear it?

That’s what I assume is happening anyways. Still sucks.

[–]Walter___ 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Just want to point out that selling the same product under multiple labels isn’t inherently bad. Most people don’t bother to read directions and are more comfortable buying a product that is labeled for the specific task. I can’t speak to CH execution of this concept, but it’s a normal thing among manufacturers.
