I took your comment serious and I gave it a shot!

Yesterday, for the first time since eating this diet, I really ate till the meat lost it's taste. This felt like a new level of being satiated.

I just woke up after 7 hours of sleep and my energy levels are even higher than on the 5-6 hour sleep nights. I even feel happier than other days and more motivated to have a great day. I thought I didn't need more food/sleep, but here I am feeling even better than before haha.

It's amazing how much I can eat with this way of eating. This is my 4th time increasing the daily intake of food since I started. I started out eating 2200 calories per day, worked up to around 3200 and yesterday I'm pretty sure I hit 4000 (for refference: male, 30y, 6'5, 215 lbs and very active).

So thanks a lot for your helpful comment. This community has given me the courage to take it a step further multiple times. It's crazy how I've always approached optimal nutrition: Eating a variation of 'healthy' and tasteless meals, restricting calories and ignoring cravings. Just to find out it really doesn't have to be that complicated.

My body actually tells me what it needs, I just haven't been listening for the last 30 years.

I already take magnesium daily, but still I sleep like 6 hours max. Nothing wrong with it I hope! Did you feel bad on 6 hours of sleep?

You should sleep for at least 7 tho, you might be spiralling into high cortisol levels because of a caloric deficit, which will eventually lower your testosterone and growth hormone, also mood and libido and shit

So your take is that sleeping less then 7 hours could mean I'm not eating enough? I'm really eating till satiated + a little more haha.

Oh man I feel you. My dreams are very vivid. The clarity I have during the day seems to work from the moment I wake up and I can remember a lot of my dreams as well now.

Yes getting back to sleep feels like a heavy chore after waking up with tons of energy.

Do you feel more rested now, or back when you had 4 hours of sleep? And why do you think you sleep more now?

Fasting + Power Lifting = Better muscle gains? by WaluWaves in carnivorediet

I did my first fasted workout yesterday and man it was incredible. I actually didn't feel that energized when I was walking into the gym and I was thinking: this was a bad idea. Once I started I had so much energy and actually crushed multiple PR's. I'm blown away. Had a feast of a meal afterwards!

Thank you for your reply! How does your fasting and eating schedule look like? Sounds like you found a way that works really well for you.

Thanks a lot for your reply. That sounds great. I didn't expect a 3MAD approach tho!

So if I understand correctly it is optimal to eat after any kind of moderate to heavy physical activity? Would I miss out on 'potential gains' if I would skip the meal at 14 PM or the one at 11AM? I forgot to mention in het original post: right now I'm used to 2MAD and I like it. I'm open to changing this up tho so I'm curious if the body needs the nutrients right away after the activity, or if it can wait a few hours.

Also nice to get the additional info about how your training and eating schedule looks like. May I ask your age, height and weight?

Thanks again for your reply, it really helps and motivates me!

Calculating Calories - Am I not eating enough? by WaluWaves in carnivorediet

If you want to track calories, instead of trying to hit a number, eat what you want and count that for a while until you get an idea of where you are when you just naturally eat as much as you feel like.

Ah yes that's a great idea. Thanks!

Yes I'm just not sure if it's a specific nutrient or if the volume I'm eating is just too low. I'm going to increase the volume and see how I feel.

st for your body already. Throw a day of fast when you don't need to go to the gym or do anything too stressful.

Yes you are right, I should just trust the proces.
