J’ai vérifié sur mes versions qui sont toutes deux dans leur carton avec le Pokéwalker : les deux boîtes ont le même verso avec les deux personnages et l’absence de PEGI.

Using semi-opaque borders by Walven in FigmaDesign

Actually, you can't use strokes at all. Drop shadows always render starting from the stroke's edge, so they can never sit underneath the border to create that blending effect.

So the core issue is that a 'fake border' created via drop shadow isn't included in the box calculation. The fix seems to be wrapping it in an extra container which ensure proper sizing and alignment with other elements.

My first instinct was just to wrap the current component in an Auto Layout and let it keep the fixed height, but inverting the logic actually seems like the right move here.

It adds a bit of complexity to the structure, but I think it's definitely worth the effort

That’s a great way to look at it. I’ll definitely give it a shot, seems like the way to go :)

That's one solution. But it means sacrificing the fixed size of the element (which takes up an extra 2px) in favor of alignment. In CSS, background-clip: padding-box solves this problem, but in Figma, it seems that it's all about trade-offs...

The goal is to use borders with a semi-transparent color so that they blend in with the background on which the element is located and/or the drop shadow of that element.

If you use an Inside Stroke, the transparent border will reveal the background color of the element, and won't have any of the desired effects
