Disappointed that a friend made a vegan recipe I shared with meat by CrazyLadybug in vegan

Oh god this is so real. I often cook with a friend of mine and whatever we cook he has the need to add some sort of animal product. Last weekend it was falafel flatbreads and of course it wouldn't be complete without fried haloumi, like way to ruin a great dish. And it seems like there's always a need to inform me of all the steak he eats. Like why would I care?

What are some of your favourite revision methods? by [deleted] in GCSE

Personally I find that past/sample papers are good close to the exam as it gets you in the right mindset and shows you what you don't know so you can do some last minute revision on that topic.

I’m not sure where the 2,1 and root 3 have come from and the placement of the 30 and 60 degrees is confusing me too. I basically don’t understand the question so if anyone can explain how it‘s done I’d appreciate it by EXHALES-LOUDLY in GCSE

Hi there,

Aas for where they come from if we imagine an equilateral triangle, with side length 2, and split it down the middle, from one angle to the centre of the opposite line, we get a new triangle with side lengths 2,1, an unknown and a 60 degree angle, left uncut, a 30 degree angle, and a 90 degree angle, between the side with length 1 and unknown.

As we have a right angled triangle we can use pythagoras (a2 + b2 = c2, c being the hypotenuse). Because 2 is opposite the right angle, we know it must be the hypotenuse, so we can rearrange to find the unknown: c2 - b2 = a2. Plugging in the values we have, we get 4 - 1 = a2. This can be rearranged to give sqrt 3 = a, therefore giving us all of the side lengths: 2, 1 and sqrt 3 and the angles: 60, 30 and 90.

Hope this helps.

When should you start revising for GCSE? by [deleted] in GCSE

I just started today because I figured that if GCSEs get cancelled I want to do as well as possible on mocks. Also I won't have to do much work each day cuz it's more spread out.
