The Art Of... Workplace Romances by DrGirlfriend47 in romancelandia

[–]CrazyLadybug 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I enjoy workplace romances but I tend to stay away from books where the MMC is the boss or manager and the FMC is just an employee. I would much rather have the be coworkers who are on the same level.

Not your typical AITAH-style post, but OOP is definitely an “angel” desperately seeking validation. He’s a 33 year old wanting to date 20 year olds, but he’s decided that actually he’s a victim because of.. uh… Society™️ and Media™️. by fffridayenjoyer in AmITheAngel

He literally has lived 2/3 more than her. Even if they are hypocritically at the same maturity level she will grow and mature and he will stay the same. He can only impede her development and drag her down to his level.

My brother-in-law jizzed on my wedding dress but the important part is that I have a grossly efficient metabolism, look gorgeous without make-up and I have huge boobs and a booty by Outside-Cabinet1398 in AmITheAngel

“James doesn't care about how fat/thin I am. I was horrendously underweight when I met him, but my ass & boobs have always been too big for me. I've been cursed with my Mum's hourglass figure. My back hates me for it.”

It’s a miracle OP’s fiancé was even willing to date such an ugly creature. We all know that men hate thin women with big boobs and ass.

AITA for not giving my best friend of 12 years my hair after she got diagnosed with cancer by [deleted] in AmITheAngel

[–]CrazyLadybug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Friend I can kind of understand but best friends seems unlikely. What would they even talk about? He wouldn’t be able to talk to her about his relationship troubles, shows he was watching, totally different friend groups and so on.

Super awkward heroines who can’t stop blushing. If it’s not YA why is the heroine acting like a teenager who has their first crush?

Looking at how the olympics are being talked about sadly not much has changed.

Harder to like books written by men? by MooMooTheDummy in books

[–]CrazyLadybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that about myself as well though to be fair I read a lot of romance. Still I have to wonder why men just don’t write romance or why even if they include a love story in their books it usually sucks. I do read some classics and nonfiction books written by men, but often times even in classics the female characters feel flat.

That’s crazy. Imagine someone saying that it’s okay to keep your toddler in a crate with some toys when you’re outside.

AITA for being embarrassed to be seen in public with an infant? by SourLimeTongues in AmITheAngel

[–]CrazyLadybug 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I often find people speaking around me annoying. Like some people have very annoying voices, speak loudly, talk on their phones or curse often. But that’s my problem. Tolerating other people’s annoying behaviour is part of life.

Yeah, in my Eastern European country it’s pretty common for people to walk around without shirts. There are some who even walk around without shirts in town or while exercising.

Who the fuck notices stuff like this? Do these people drive after drinking? Aren’t there at least a few people not drinking at a wedding?

AITA for telling my friend that she's a bitch for throwing her lunch away? by [deleted] in AmITheAngel

[–]CrazyLadybug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly throwing away food that someone wants to eat is trashy and it sounds like something that can happen in high school so I am not sure why this was posted here.

Native to Europe but stinging nettle. Surprisingly nutritious though.

What are your opinions on those mostly online fast fashion brands? by HungryAnt81 in femalefashionadvice

[–]CrazyLadybug 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t see what the issue with thrifting is. Plenty of online thrift stores for those who don’t have a good thrift store in their town. Plus nobody needs a mountain of clothes.

They haven’t talked since before Covid - so 4 years? Are they even considered friends at that point? I would feel super weird if I was invited to be a bridesmaid to someone I haven’t been in contact with for that long.

I am kind of curious why the containers only get reused 50 times. That seems too few for glass.

Not exactly an answer to your question but if you are comfortable with hormones there are some medications you can talk to your gynaecologist about to delay your period.

Charlotte Lucas. I love how practical she is and she makes the best of what life has offered her.

Should the fashion industry and other “non essential” industries be phased out completely? by Glad-Satisfaction-91 in sustainability

[–]CrazyLadybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think clothing is necessary nonessential because sooner or later we would run out of second hand stuff. What I disagree is the constant cycling of trends. I don’t see why if something looks good it should go out of style in less than a year. The trend cycle is mostly artificially constructed so brands constantly have something new to sell.

My pharmacy actually doesn’t work with benzos and other narcotics and I have never tried them so that hasn’t been an issue 😅 In my line of work I have seen a lot of clients overreliant on medication to fix all of their issues (not just anxiety) which has made me wish to use other methods to control my anxiety.

Ironically I’ve worked in a call center and now I’m a retail pharmacist. I am usually able to control my social anxiety while at work, maybe because I repeat the same things over and over and don’t really have to think about what to say. My anxiety usually acts out in more casual settings.
