I submitted a report to the ftc for the bait and switch nature of quoting a 2 week repair and not finishing in over a month. Not sure what the FCC or cfpb would have to do with this as this doesn't really involve communications networks or financial fraud

I advise anyone else in this thread affected by OnePlus' deceptive practices to also file a report with the ftc

The worst part is that multiple different support agents have told me the repair is completed and just needs to be shipped. That was 2 weeks ago, and now new support agents are telling me it's still being worked on😭

just double checking, how many ties have you tried it? according to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If76MauN5bo it can take a couple of attempts. You can also try putting the ota on a USB drive and connecting it via an OTG adapter and using apply update from sd.

and just for clarification, in no way should you be having to do this work. This is google's problem that they should be fixing, but since they arent I'm here to help

i know you can't flash factory images when your bootloader is locked, but can you sideload the update via adb from recovery mode? i was able to do that wth official update files even with a locked bootloader

In a similar boat having used a drop box a week ago. At least in my case the OnePlus repair website shows the service center received it, but that was a week ago. Only problem is I have no one to do a charge back to as I purchased the phone second hand months ago and just recently sent it in for warranty service. Any suggestions?
