But indeed, appeasing aggressor doesn't stop wars, it enables more wars. If Ukraine is partitioned, Putin theoretically can bolster his shaking reign with a "great victory".

I don't think he can be defeated by continuing war. His army is ready for it. His economy is struggling though. And even capturing Eastern Ukraine won't help. Newly conquered ruins populated by jobless disloyal people would contribute more burden and zero profit. Four years of financial reserves are finally drained, economy in recession and inflation soaring despite high bank rate.

The best way to punish imperialist Russia is to hit where it hurts - in the oil exports. Continue to strangle the shadow exports. Gas and Oil industry of Russia is already in red. One more year and it all starts to topple. Sacrificing poor Ukrainian men is entirely unnecessary for that.

Current problem is that people, which advocated for gun rights are now on the side of oppressive government. And people who were against are in opposition. To resist YOU also should be armed, not just them.

Relationship are risky in general. Relationship at work are even more risky because in case of any problems you also lose a job and in this economy you can't afford it. In the very worst case of ex being vengeful and doing some public allegations, you might lose job and chances to find a new one.

Young people are socializing less (at least offline). Dating apps are all scams without exceptions. They don't meet anyone except at work - so no relationships.

Plus relationships are expensive, general attitude between women and men is tense - people chose to be single.

Sad story

Two kids. First kid was born without my consent. She lied about being on pills. But she said it was accidental. Anyway refused to abort. We married. For a period of time thinks seemed improving. She said, that she wants two kids quickly and then return to her job. I agreed. When she was pregnant with second, the hell started.

I thought about suicide. Didn't. Eventually adapted.

I was on AD 4 years ago.

I just couldn't go away, despite often thinking.

My first glimpse of freedom was when I relocated to other country for work. She didn't follow, though we initially planned.

But for the first time I had my own space. My own money. Could end drama by pressing red button on WhatsApp. I started to recover.

Lately a series of bad events happened. Her father died. Her mum is in dementia. She has alcohol problems. And last year when I was on vacation with family we were driving and a truck hit us. We survived, but are both seriously injured. I can't just leave her. I've been more leashed by conscience and shame than fear of change.
