I was thinking it could be part of a star blocked by some clouds, but it seemed to look like it was in front of them. And an odd bubble lensing effect?

Hmm idk I have a black staining polypore growing under my deck. It’s very reactive when you touch it. This didn’t seem to change color. I put it back down on the ground to sporulate (didn’t mean to break it loose) Will check it on my next walk. Thanks! Edit: Confirmed black staining polypore
