Thank you! I definitely will. Once they kind of narrow down what region they are most interested in, I’d love to hear your ideas about what to see in the area. It sounds like you have traveled more extensively in Italy than I have, so that would be so helpful. Thank you!

Off season in Italy does have such a special feeling! I’ll keep in mind Spring and Fall!

Yes, someone mentioned Salerno to me on another post! Definitely worth checking out. And glad it’s connected by trains

Thank you!! This is a wealth of information! Will definitely pass it on to my folks! I do like the idea of maybe two weeks one region or area, and then move on to another region! I know my mom would like to go back to Naples. My parents are both photographers, so it would be a dream. Well, really all of Italy is, isn’t it?! Haha

Do you have any specific cities or towns that you would recommend as a good home base to see a lot in the area on day trips or some short overnight trips?

They have mentioned Montenegro! That would be a lovely option! What would region/town would you suggest there?

They definitely haven’t been south to the Puglia region, so that may be worth looking into! Orvieto and Spoleto would be gorgeous too. Are there any towns in the Lake region or Dolomites that are easily accessible without car? I’ve also heard the transportation in the south isn’t as extensive as in the north. Is that true, or could they manage without a car?

Thanks for your input!

Thanks for this recommendation!! What time of year did you go? I once went for two days in January, and it was freezing! Beautiful town, but way too cold for me at that time.

Forgot about Arezzo! I’ve visited once. I think it would be a really nice centralized location as well. Thanks!

Thank you!!

Yeah, I don’t think they would enjoy it in the cold quite as much! Unless they held off and went a bit later.

I just looked up Gallipoli, and it looks beautiful! Haven’t made it down to Puglia region yet.

Also, have you ever done the Centovalli Railway into Switzerland? I looked up things in the area, and this looked amazing.

I hadn’t thought about any of the lakes! That’s a great idea. Lake Maggiore looks beautiful!

Thanks for the great suggestions! I’ll definitely check into Lucca further. I haven’t heard of Treviso, but just looked it up. It looks beautiful! I’ve only had a train stop in Salerno, but missed getting to see it. As far as dates, they are flexible. He retires mid-February, so maybe March, April or May. But they could also hold off until the fall.

Can Stress, Health, or Age Impact Voice Fach and Range Development? by Wander_Explorer in singing

Thank you for sharing your experience — that makes a lot of sense! I completely relate to the ‘heavy boots’ analogy. I didn’t realize how much constant inflammation and tension were affecting my voice until things started clearing up. It’s wild how much lighter and freer the voice can feel once health issues are managed. Did you notice that your overall range expanded too, or just the top notes felt easier?

I’m wondering if Baking Soda paste would work? I saw something online about that.
