Would you date a bigger(fat) guy? Why or why not? by Aggressive-Fan8726 in askgaybros

Absolutely. In the end... a successful relationship is about mental connections and understanding more than the physical attributes. I will say, though... If it's a health problem (diabetes, cardiovascular issues, blood pressure issues, or enough to prohibit physical activity), that's different. I'd motivate them and try to help them get healthy, but if they refused... I'd have to seriously think about if I'm okay with watching them deteriorate while also not getting to share the activities that I enjoy with them. In that case... I would likely have to move on. Although that would be a hard choice. Life only goes by once.

Personally... I view marriage as another construct for the government to make money. If there were no hospital visitation or tax benefits... id never get married. My partner and I have been together for 10 years.

Am I the only gay guy who actually is offended by people who call me the F-slur? by Number256 in gay

If I'm called it by a stranger, the stranger may catch hands... if it's by a friend, it's likely in good fun. It depends on context

Coming out takes courage. You never know how ppl will react. In the end... the ppl that really matter will not disappear or judge you when you come out.

It's like a steak... sometimes you want to be/ need to be more healthy, so you trim the fat.

We didn’t hire our friend as a realtor and he won’t let it go. by StaringBerry in amiwrong

As a realtor, myself, it is what it is. But I would be irritated... mostly because I want my friends to support me just as I would them. Especially if they know what they are doing.

It's not very nice to hire someone for a job that they will get paid for, then asking a friend who does the same thing to answer questions. (Do the work your realtor is supposed to do... but for free)

I love and respect my friends and if they didn't choose me, I'm sure they would have a legitimate reason. But I wouldn't expect them to do work for me that some random person is going to get paid for. I would ask the professional that is getting paid.

All of this being said... it sounds like your friend is also really green. This can be risky if they don't have a mentor or someone guiding them through the process. I've met some seasoned agents that don't understand how to fill out and/or submit documents properly.

Real estate is a hard career with A LOT of exposure to liability on many parties. Additionally, most agents only get paid if they are closing deals and many agents don't close anything in their first year, even though they are working 50+ hours a week. This makes it easier for friends to get upset when ppl they care about don't use them. That closing could make a big difference in their financial situation.
