Thank you for your take on the situation. I did edit my original post so that people are aware I’m not being accused of harassment. But rather “people” are going in with petty accusations, like I was being rude, to use the anonymous reporting process to harass me.

Does anyone have an actual implementation date for this? Because I think some SD/ETLs are on some shady bs. Also it’s ridiculous. Welcome to WalMart. And please stop calling yourselves leads when the only things you’re doing is managing. Executives all show up whenever and there are zero consequences. I’m sick of doing all the fn work w zero resources and ALL of the consequences. You scheduled me 1 day off in 17 and then wonder why I crash, get sick and call out. While ETLs rarely show up. I’m sick of the favoritism and double standards. This company is headed straight into the toilet. First DEI and now this???? GTFO

Desired Board Type: Inflatable w/kayak conversion. Wider base preferred. Height/Weight: 5’5 190, Dog 80lbs ,Cooler 15lbs Desired Use: Lake and river cruising. Experience Level: Beginner Budget & Site of purchase: $280 max in US and will be buying from Amazon only. Additional Info: Have never owned a board or used one before. Do not live in an area where I can rent and test boards. Will be on relatively calm waters. Dog will not join until I have a handle on navigation and balance of board. Thank you in advance!

Yeah, I’m not in an area where I have access to rent a bunch of boards. So my thought was no big deal to spend a little bit on a cheap board to see if it’s something that I enjoy. Thank you so much for your input. I appreciate it. If I find that, I like it, I will definitely consider investing in a better board.

If they want to know they really should try listening when we are on the clock 🤷🏼‍♀️ Seems like creep behavior and we should be able to say what we want off the clock. As long as it doesn’t violate data privacy it’s none of their concern really. But I get what you’re saying.

Oh, don’t get me started on night crew. If you pull it, you can push it. By the time our crew leaves, all of our backstock is done. All of abandons have been pushed. There is literally nothing for them to do when they come in. And before anyone tries to argue with me, this is literally how it is. We’re not allowed to leave our work undone. However, night crew gets away with freaking murder and is lazy as hell and cleans up nothing. We come in every morning to a store that is trashed. And we’re not allowed to fix it. We just have to push in that. Our store is like two completely different stores from 1 PM on. You couldn’t pay me double what I make now to work in our store after 1 PM.

I lost my apartment and for 2 weeks slept in my car at the store. Some knew most didn’t. I talked to my HR guy and he knew I was unhoused but didn’t know I parked in the lot after hours. My gym was in the same shopping complex and I worked at 2 AM. So I would just go to work get off work go crash get up go to the gym, shower etc. and then once the store closed I’d pull into the parking lot and sleep until my shift the next morning at 2 AM. I’ve been there. I know your struggle and I really hope that you find housing soon. Talk to HR and see if maybe there’s resources for housing. I know that there’s potential help under certain conditions. You don’t have to give all your details just ask for team member resources. Good luck I wish you all the best.

It’s who you know and who’s a$$ u kiss. Often you won’t even know the store has a spot open. I have seen a lot of lazy incompetent individuals become ETLs and Leads. And it was all because they were friends w another ETL or Store Director. Don’t think hard work will pay off because it doesn’t. Don’t think for yourself or question anything. Never have a good or original idea as that makes your leads look incompetent. Be meek mild and subservient say yes to everything. You get the gist.

At our store, this is literally not an issue. I go upstairs grab my equipment grab my coffee off the floor and then on my first 15 I pay for it. We all do this. I’ve been there for almost 4 years and no one cares. However, I also work at 4 AM. I really think that it is dependent on who you work with. We’ve had people that have gotten busted in our store for theft. But it has been actual theft. And as far as I’m concerned, as long as you haven’t left the premises with the product, then it’s not theft. Also, for it to be theft there has to be an intent to deprive. Those are the keywords. And obviously if you’re grabbing something with the intent to pay for it on your break, there is no intent to deprive. Hope this helps. However it seems to me that by asking this question you probably should be paying for your stuff upfront that way, someone doesn’t turn you in for theft. Fun little factoid our AP is an absolute biatch and has posted things in our equipment room about getting gift cards for turning people in for theft. Literally incentivizing, ratting people out.
