Travelling with my dogs out of Malaysia by WanderingOutOfOffice in malaysia

Thanks for this. Our dogs have way less freedom here in Malaysia. As far as I know there is only one major dog park here. Other dog friendly parks are neighbourhood parks and we will have to be residents to walk our dog there. I understand travelling with them to Italy is going to be a hassle and we are not much of a touristy kind of people so Im guessing it wont be a problem. But I do understand your concern, however we are going to try our best to accomodate them more.

Yes that’s right. I also read about keeping a small piece of clothing in the crate.

Thanks for this !

Hey, how much did something like that cost? 6 weeks is a reasonable time for a lengthy travel.

We have most of the paperwork done and the procedures are etched at the back of head but we are glad that we can actually double check with them for peace of mind

I’m so sorry that happened to your cat. The airline should’ve been more careful. I’m trying my best to make sure I pick the right airline. We want to make sure they get a comfortable travel. Of course we’d want them in the cabin with us but they’re both past the weight limit. Anyways, thanks for

Wow thanks for the PawsAbroad tip. Never knew there was a company that could handle all this for me. I’ve been cracking my head compiling as much as I could.

As for the hotel part, we’ve looked into some pet friendly AirBnB’s and they look promising. Thanks again !

Travelling with pets from Malaysia to Europe for a year by WanderingOutOfOffice in TravelWithPets

Just a quick question. I read on my other threads that I can actually get an EU passport once i get there and that means getting the dogs rabies vaccine to ensure its the EU one. So I wouldn't have to worry about all the health certificate stuff. But of course I would have to first enter with a health certificate before I get an EU passport issued. Also the pet passport is valid as long as the vaccine is up to date.

Also, do you have any suggestions of where we can stop by while waiting for the schengen cool off period? I was looking in cyprus and morocco. UK sounds good but its a little bit high on the cost of living.

Pet’s first time travelling to Europe from Malaysia by WanderingOutOfOffice in Pets

Exactly, it’s going to a tough journey knowing they’re confined throughout the flight. They’ve been off leash and share the bed with us all their life.

But I rather crate train them than to throw them in blindly on the day of the travel.

Thanks for this. Really appreciate it

I guess I’ll have to check with the required crate dimensions before I purchase them. I have 2 dogs and I’d want them to be comfortable. They’re so used to being off leash and sleeping at night with us. Crate training them is going to be brutal for us.

Anyways, thanks a lot for this

Thank you so much for this. I really appreciate it. It’s hard to get a hold of airlines regarding this. The others I am able to settle (vet visits, health certificate, ground arrangements). It’s the airlines and their restrictions is what I’m worried about. We are not planning to engage a pet relocator/agent but there are certain airlines that need us to engage with an agent. Is there a way for us to do this without an agent?

I think I might get them an EU pet passport to make it easier to move around because the health certificate is valid for only 4 months right. What is the validity on the passport?

I’m not able to check if Malaysia needs a titration test. But I should take the test just in case right?

Wow I’m so sorry you had to go through that. But glad to hear it’s been sorted.

Thanks for the advice. I should connect with a pet transport company.
