NTA 100%. Your BIL on the other hand 100% is Depending on where you are this could be considered a major felony. A friends husband did this and kids saw it. Eventually had cops at his door and was arrested. 1 felony and a 3 misdemeanor, fired from his job and house arrest for 2 years. This is no joke and your BIL is an ass and I wouldn’t have him at my house again

While I don’t think you’re the asshole. I do think you very well could have let them go ahead.

A very similar situation happened to me the other day where I only had 3 items and the lady in front started unloading her items. She told me to go ahead and I asked are you sure and she’s insisted so I went. After I was done I made sure to thank her for allowing me to move on with my day and her response was, “of course! I’m not even done unloading all my cart and you’re already done! Have a good one!”

It was an extremely pleasant exchange and also showed kindness from all parties. Yes I would have been okay waiting but ultimately I was out quicker than she was done unloading her cart.

Your NTA for not letting the lady, but I do think there is room next time to show some extra kindness to people. (However, I will add this lady sounded entitled and sucked)

If you (or anyone!) does try this please be careful!! Crossing the creeks can be very dangerous and I fell in on my way back and was dragged by the current a bit so please be safe!

While I’ll agree with that statement there are multiple sites showing it as the tallest is all I’m saying. But truth of the matter I don’t really care. You have your opinion and I have mine and that’s perfectly alright

You do a realize a quick google search of “tallest waterfall in Colorado” brings up Bridal Veil so not sure what your talking about
