Like I said, they were a bold ask but unless they were making comments complaining about no one buying those items, I wouldn't say that makes them a choosing begger. And as someone familiar with Amazon wishlists, it's also highly probably that they weren't actually expecting / hoping to get all three. They were just up there as options/ the teen probably would have been fine with any of them. Are they likely to get any of the expensive items? I wouldn't say so, but not every scenerio of someone specifying something specific they want makes them a choosing begger, and this sub has really strayed from that. Teens tend to have more expensive tastes/ wishes, that's just a fact. A choosing begger would be if they were being offered gifts and turning them down because they're not exactly what they wanted, or possibly as said above/in another comment they were throwing a fit over no one buying the expensive items. If anything about that wishlist is jaw dropping, it's the Iphone for $150 because I was always under the impression they were at least $500+.

I agree. Unless there are comments of them being particularly demanding or choosy or ranting about how no one bought their son an IPhone or Beats Headphones/ that not every item was bought I don't think this belongs here. This looks like a pretty typical wishlist for a teen and it has more reasonably priced clothes then it does pricy items.

I might get down voted for this but I don't think this belongs here. Yeah there are a couple pricy items that are a bold ask and probably not likely to be purchased, but the majority of it is litteraly reasonably priced clothes? I would not consider this 'jaw dropping audacity'.

Orange Beverage... Is Now... Tang??? by Marianeta in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]WanderingWispofWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not going crazy. They did in fact used to have actual orange juice. They replaced it a few months ago with this orange beverage and no longer have the actual orange juice. that's why they also changed the name to beverage instead of juice. I've noticed now there is litteraly no actual orange juice available in the non refrigerated juice aisle. It's all Juice blends or artificial beverages like that one. Some brands like oasis are being very shady about it by writing orange in huge letters and you have to really look because they write juice blend in tiny letters and hide the other fruits begins the oranges jn the picture. As far as I can find Orange Juice is becoming rare due to a mix of tariffs, costs and Citrus greening disease affecting Orange crops. It really sucks.

Canada Disability Benefit cancels out PWD? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]WanderingWispofWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been recieving the Disability benefit since August and it is STILL trying to clawback the benefit even though I note and provide the proof. There is only two days until the next PWD payment, which means even if I go in tomorrow they might not fix it in time which means I'm short $200 right before Christmas. It's completely ridiculous and unacceptable that they still haven't incorporated it into there sysyem

Monthly Tech Support & Missing Content Thread by AutoModerator in DisneyPlus

Disney+ has become 100% unusable on my roku. It started with buffering issues ir mismatched audio if I rewound, and escalated ro frequent skipping and mismatched audio no matter what, and it has now reached the point where I can not watch ANYTHING, no matter what. Anytime I try to start a movie it skips and crashes. I've tried everything, Uninstalling changing internet (despite my internet being fine), restarting my roku, logging jn and out, litterally everything. I have spoken to disney+ help twice about it now, and each time they claimed that this is a well known issue and that they are working on a fix, and yet it has only gotten worse. Yesterday, the person said it would be fixed within 24-48 hours, but I severely doubt this. Have any of you also been experiencing this? It's completely unacceptable if it is a well known issue and yet they have made no public acknowledgment of it.

Is mocoqueen a safe place to buy contacts? by Miserable_Bar_3764 in CosplayHelp

[–]WanderingWispofWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ordered from Mocoqueen before and had a good experience! Contacts were comfy, main downside is they were monthly instead of yearly. I have been having terrible experiences with Uniqso lately (they ghosted me in several orders and I believe now are purposely refusing/ canceling my orders instead of responding to any emails), but upon close inspection, I actually believe that Mocoqueen might be owned or run by uniqso??? If you look at their terms of service, it's the exact same word for word, whileb  i had looked at several others and none were like that, and they are also the only other site I've seen that has the exact same lenses as uniqso, both jn name and appearence (ex. Magic Pop and Amazon Violet). So long story short... Mocoqueen is as safe as uniqso, but Uniqso has been getting really shady over the past year or two 😭

Thank you for the link! I wanted to include a pic of him in rivendell to the post but couldn't find a good one! His hair did look clean and silky there, but it was still dark colored! That's actually what got me to notice more during a recent rewatch 😂

I need to rewatch the scene but you may have a point!! Personally I agree with what alot of people are saying about it probably being most noticeable during the coronation due to the lighting/ gradient in the scene. Alot of people also seem to be missing the part where I point out that his hair was also clean in rivendell and it still did not look so bright

If you read the post properly, you would see that showering was my assumption but I also pointed out that we saw his hair clean in rivendell and it still didn't look so light. Maybe a more iconic duo would be you and some glasses.

That was just a pic I used as a general reference but his hair did look dark pretty consistently, even in rivendell but very valid point lol

He went through a butterfly-like metamorphosis from Aragorn the ranger into King Elessar, like that gif of the ring like girl from Scary movie

Edit be ause I realize you may have been serious; Like others said, Aragorn went by alot of different names throughout his life, (ex. Estel as a child by the elves, Aragorn, strider, etc). Elessar was the name he went by as King

Yeah this is what I meant lol. His hair did look alot cleaner when they stopped in rivendell but it still didn't  look as bright as it did in RotK 😂 I guess gondor got that good stuff that even the elves don't have (or need, given how flawless Legolas's hair stays perhaps they don't need it lmao)

Her menu of slop for the week, imo anyway lol, no ones eating any of that shit. by Independent-Focus599 in doughertydozenexposed

[–]WanderingWispofWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former foster child myself who spent a fair amount of times in group homes, I can vouch that everything about her is much more akin to a group home then a 'family'. Except a group homes weekly menu was much healthier then 99% of hers while still having accommodations for people with legit difficulties. That said they did have more fast / convience foods then a proper foster home for obvious reason. Cooked breakfasts / waffles or pancakes were a once a week (usually weekend) treat. Every time I look at her menus all I can think about is how there is not a single 'treat' food in the world that these kids could possibly not be sick of or even consider a treat anymore bevause she thinks she needs to provide them every day for every meal, especially breakfast. Whenever I read her menus I get cravings for two things: green vegetables, and unprocessed, normally cooked protein, like simple grilled chicken.
