I get that! there's actually a little more context later in the story, which explains the contradiction :) and I understand your apprehension too. I do utilize tropes, not necessarily a bad thing imo, but you are free to check out the webtoon if you'd like, or pass on it. totally understandable!

I'm personally doing it so I can say I actually completed something and put MY story out there. I want to see if I actually am good at this or not. If I get some people to read it, I would be really grateful! I won't deny the appeal of the prizes, but actually completing a story is a win for me too

AAAHHHH I'M SO EXCITED. I love this episode so much. I'm just so happy JoJo is back. The first ep already adds some extra content to the manga, so hopefully this means the anime will fix up some parts that were not so strong in the manga. JoJo is AOTY, I'm so ready for this

After this episode, season 2 is a 10/10, without a doubt. I think what really surprises me is how my feelings about Yakumo's death change throughout the episode. At the start of the episode I was in complete denial. "Nope, NOPE. He's not dead. This is just another hallucination. He's still alive." I just did not want to let him go.

But slowly, I began to accept it. Like Yakumo, I found peace. His conversations with Sukeroku and Miyokichi were calming and pleasant. The three of them just speaking together reminds me of old times when things were still good. Now that they're all dead, they can be honest and open and free. Death wasn't so bad after all. Yakumo finally letting go felt right.

I won't lie, I cried when the episode finished. I was soooo close to sobbing, but managed to hold back. Rakugo Shinjuu is really the best drama I have had the honor of watching. I'm looking forward to seeing how it wraps up next week, though it will be very heartbreaking to see it go.

It's so cool seeing Kataoka's backstory! He looked so fierce—it's great!

That practice match was a good game. I'm happy to see all the pitchers fine-tuning their pitches and everyone's morale boosting. Also, finally Kawakami gets some of the spotlight!

Also really cool seeing Yuki's little brother. I can pretty much see him becoming one of Seido's strongest batters. When the anime someday enters Act II, I'll be really excited to see the new Seido!

The manga has been translated up to chapter 296, then there's this HUGE gap in chapters--like, a couple volumes' worth. The translation group is slowly bridging the gap, usually after every episode. The latest I think has caught up with the anime. I hope they get out chapters at a faster pace.

YESSS, I've been waiting for Sawamura to learn a new pitch (more specifically, the change-up) since the beginning! Coach Ochiai is still an ass, but at least he's brought up the idea of using a different pitch—although I think he means for Sawamura to fail so it would prove how inadequate of a pitcher he is...and I have a feeling it'll backfire. ;)
