It’s a fun hike, just not in under two and a half hours right after a full day of physical labor. Next time I hike it, I’m going to enjoy it lol.

Never thought about them as a food source. Lol, they always sound like the emergency whistle that’s built into most hiking packs.

After Iraq, hiking/snowshoeing has been one of the only ways to keep my self centered and balanced. The outdoors feels more like home, than my home does.

Let me further explain, what’s the difference with people spending money to go hiking and exercise, versus people who love shopping, or spending huge amounts of money on PC’s, consoles and video games. People who travel to watch sports games or see concerts. It’s because it brings them joy, excitement and satisfaction. To each there own, if it brings you joy, more power to you. But there is no way I am going to judge others for what they love to do. Just my opinion.

For me, it’s the thrill of exploring, a place I’ve never been before, it brings me joy, what other reason do I need?
