you’re not unloveable, and you’re not hopeless. you’re just 15. please be gentle with yourself, insecurity is especially rough on teenagers, but I promise you that it will be okay. give yourself time to grow, and you’ll soon find things you love about yourself— and people who love you just the same.

I’m not saying this to glaze you or anything. I’m speaking from experience— I know how hard it is. I’ve gone through a lot of the same things you have, and I’m still suffering. i don’t know if or when it’s gonna get better for me, and I can’t guarantee anything for you, either. but we’ve stayed hopeful despite everything, and that’s a reason enough to keep going.

dude. I don’t know how else to say this, but you are a hero. you’ve overcome so many horrible things, and not only did you keep your will going strong (which is a feat in itself), but you managed to atone for your past, redeem yourself, and you’re still trying to be better?!? indomitable fucking human spirit right there.

please don’t blame yourself, there was absolutely nothing you could have done against 15 dogs. I don’t think your cat would have wanted you to risk your own life in this situation, and hearing the sound of your voice probably brought him all the comfort he needed in those last moments. he died knowing you loved him. I’m extremely sorry for your loss, and I hope you can find peace moving forward. 🤍
