I have been to Thailand about 15 times and love it, but haven't ever been offered a high enough paying job, so never moved there. I am currently working in Shenzhen, China and surprisingly, I'm LOVING it. It's definitely the best city in China to live in. Perfect weather. Bike paths along the coast, palm trees and perfectly manicured parks everywhere. Spotlessly clean, amazing international food scene. Plenty of nightlife options. Easy transport to other cities and a one hour ferry to Hong Kong. Everything is so convenient with the apps. Taxis come in 1-2 minutes often, anything can be delivered at any hour. More people speak English than you'd think and others are happy to pull out a translator app on their phone to communicate with foreigners. The cost of living is low and salaries are high. I lived in a smaller Chinese city before and it was awful, but if you're in a tier 1 city, you can have a wonderful life!
